Walking into Trek is always a good time. There are a lot of bike stores out there, but Trek always makes you feel like you’re in the right place picking the right brand. I live in the Houston area and usually frequent Trek for my road bike stuff, but while I was in Waco I got curious about getting into MTB riding. That’s where I met Ralph. Super chill guy. He literally put me on about 8 different bikes across all price ranges just to make sure I made the right decision. I left after spending some time there, came back later that day, and knew I had to make the purchase through Ralph. Great experience overall. I really appreciated how knowledgeable and laid back he was. He talked to me like a peer, not some tired, uninterested salesman trying to force a sale. He may be retired and just working there because he loves bikes, but honestly that’s exactly the kind of energy more bike shops need. Too many places make you feel like an outsider if you’re not already part of their bike club culture. Ralph made the whole process easy and welcoming. Can’t thank him enough. Glad to be rolling out with my new Marlin 5.

I brought some wheels in to get a cassette changed over (not bought from them) and get sealant topped off. 5 minutes later they had it done for me and only charged me for the sealant! Every employee I have dealt with at this store has been amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable on anything bike related!

Trek’s service stands out because it’s not just a quick tune-up—it’s a full-on system of precision, expertise, and accountability that most bike shops simply don’t match. Their technicians are factory-trained and follow structured service tiers, which means every adjustment—from brake alignment to drivetrain calibration—is done with intention, not guesswork. They use high-quality tools, genuine parts, and detailed checklists to make sure nothing gets overlooked, whether it’s a basic Level 1 tune or a deeper overhaul. On top of that, their turnaround process is organized and transparent, so you’re not left wondering what’s happening with your bike. The real edge, though, is consistency: no matter which Trek shop you go to, you’re getting a similar standard of care, which is rare in the cycling world. It’s basically the difference between a random repair and a professionally engineered service experience—clean, reliable, and built to keep your ride performing like it should.

First time ever buying a bike and I was passing by through my roadtrip. My experience started with a phone call asking about some questions for promotions and had that answer quickly and smoothly over the phone. I then stop by with Crawford who is the store manager who was very helpful as he answer all my questions and went beyond by giving me tips and advice as Mountain biking was something I am just getting into, he also let me test drive multiple bikes and narrow down the details and specs without any pressure of making a purchase. I narrow down the options and got my first Trek Marlin bike with some accessories and he had even help me load the bike into my vehicle with ease. Since I'm from Austin, I am not sure when I'll come back, but the fact that this was one of my best purchase experiences and great customer service makes me wish I had Crawford over at my local trek store.
