  I've been taking my cat to VCA for several years for just routine/annual check ups and it's always been fine. Last week our cat became very lethargic, low appetite and was hiding so we took him in and had bloodwork done with Dr Haden. She told me his WBC was 'sky high' and wanted to schedule Xrays and sedation the following day with an estimated bill ranging between $1,300 - $1,700. Something just didn't feel right, so we got a 2nd opinion from a good friends trusted vet, who were able to Xray him that same day for $250 (no sedation needed - he's a calm friendly cat) They said he actually enjoyed the xray and laid on his back purring. Turns out he was 'backed up' with a gastro issue - the WBC was a mild # and not alarmingly high like I had been told. I feel like Dr Hayden took advantage and am so glad we didn't put our cat through sedation, stress combined with a high medical bill for something that an anti-inflammatory medication solved in a day. The tech was very nice and helpful that day, but, we won't be returning.

  Thank you to VCA Henderson Pass. The vets and staff were genuine and kind when we had to bring in our 20 year old little guy. They aren't our usual vet but they attended us like they were and we will appreciate their kindness always.

  Recently, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our dog, Nala, to rest. From the moment we arrived, the staff showed us nothing but kindness, compassion, and empathy. They immediately brought us into a comfortable private room and made an incredibly difficult moment feel as peaceful and supported as possible. Even though I was completely inconsolable, I truly felt the warmth and care from every person there. To make things even more meaningful, they later mailed us a handwritten card signed by the staff with such thoughtful and heartfelt messages. We are beyond grateful for the compassion they showed our family and for the dignity and love they gave Nala in her final moments. Thank you all so much for your kindness — it meant more than words can express.
