Only giving 2 stars due to the new policy that they won’t allow over the phone preventative prescription confirmations anymore. I have used this vet for years and they’ve always allowed it and now all a sudden they only want their customers to use their online system which is much more pricey than Chewy. I do understand that I can mail a paper prescription into Chewy, but this is 2026 now and online is much more convenient for me. You would think that with this cities issues of over population of strays and sickly animals out in the streets that VCA would allow responsible pet owners who are patients to order their preventative prescriptions where to choose online. For this reason alone, I will be taking my pets to a vet that allows over the phone prescription confirmations. I will say the staff has always been nice and caring for my animals and it’s not their fault that VCA all a sudden has this policy. Do better VCA

Zero Stars. The worst animal hospital in the world. It is absolutely terrible! They told me not to call! The guy that answers the phone is always hanging me up. I am going to complain about him. They should make a report about him. I have asked about boarding birds and their prices because a young woman told me 2 weeks ago they were boarding birds in the office. This guy is not the manager nor he owns the place. Who is he to yell at customers and hang me up??? He should be written up!! How dare he treats me and others so poorly?? He has no customer service skills and shouldn't work in there in the first place. Don't take your pets in there. When Dr Becker owned the clinic everyone was polite , no one was rude . He knew how to run it well but now the service is atrocious! No one gets good service, it is run by some people who have no manners and treat people like trash! ZERO STARS THUMBS DOWN ALL THE WAY!!!👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

The vets here have been helpful during the various emergencies I’ve brought my pets in for. Only 3 stars because there’s a front desk guy with black hair that is AWFUL. I had called ahead bringing in my cat that had been attacked by a dog, her stomach was torn open, when I got there he pretended like no one called ahead, and told me to sit and wait despite what I had been told on the phone that they would take my cat immediately. Zero urgency or care from this person in a severe emergency case. My cat died. It’s been 10 months since this happened I am still livid about how he treated the emergency and failed to listen/be helpful in ANY shape or form. VCA is always a last resort emergency visit ESPECIALLY because of this guy. He would honestly do well to find another profession. Other front desk staff seem to possess the demeanor necessary to handle emergency situations, that this guy fails at 100%.

I would give this clinic zero stars if I could. Our experience here was absolutely devastating. We have been going to this clinic for many years for all of our pets' needs, vaccinations, and routine care, so we trusted them completely. We brought our cat Oliver in because he was declining, and after 3 visits, 2 different veterinarians, and nearly $3,000 spent, we still left without answers. Instead of a clear diagnosis or a real plan, we were repeatedly pushed toward more tests, more procedures, and more expenses. We were desperate to save our cat, so we trusted the recommendations and agreed because we believed these tests would help find the problem. Looking back, it feels like we were put through a cycle of spending more money while the actual issue was never found. After weeks of frustration, we finally took Oliver to another veterinarian. Within hours, this new vet did not push us toward any blood tests or unnecessary lab work until he first performed a physical exam, where he was able to feel a mass and then confirm it with an ultrasound. The diagnosis: a cancerous tumor. What is most heartbreaking is that Oliver had been showing signs since March. We can’t help but wonder if this tumor had been found earlier, whether we would have had more time with him or even a chance to save his life. We trusted this clinic with a member of our family. We came to you for answers and help, but instead we lost valuable time while our cat continued to decline. The fact that another veterinarian was able to find what two doctors and thousands of dollars in testing did not is something we will never forget. Oliver was not just a pet. He was part of our family for 12 years. We will always carry the pain of wondering if his outcome could have been different if the right diagnosis had been made sooner. This experience has left us heartbroken, disappointed, and deeply distrustful of the care we received.

At VCA Becker, we kept bringing up the smell on her breath, but they dismissed it as probably being from vomiting. One tech even gave me attitude and said, “I’m sure it’s a blockage,” and the vet said it was probably GI issues, gave her a nausea shot, prescribed prescription food, and never found the huge tick under her collar. Every time I asked what they actually thought was wrong, I never got a clear answer. The communication was terrible. What frustrates me the most is that we were quoted over $4,000 for hospitalization instead of being offered a straightforward, reasonably priced diagnostic workup that could tell us what was actually going on. Then we went to another veterinarian. Before we even said anything, he immediately noticed the ammonia smell on her breath. He ran a single blood test, diagnosed severe kidney failure, explained everything clearly, and we made the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully. The entire visit—including the exam, diagnostics, euthanasia, cremation, and her urn—was under $650 because they even reduced the bill to help us during one of the worst days of our lives. That level of compassion meant everything to me. They treated us like people instead of just another bill. After our experience at VCA Becker, I honestly don’t feel like we received that same level of care, communication, or compassion, and that’s something I’m going to have a hard time getting over. I know nobody can say for certain whether an earlier diagnosis would have changed the outcome, but I do know we deserved a more thorough evaluation and clearer communication than we got. I don’t want a generic response from an office manager or corporate representative trying to protect the company’s image. I want people reading this review to understand what our experience was like. The way the pricing and treatment options were presented left us feeling that basic diagnostics were out of reach, and I’ll always wonder whether we could have had answers sooner. Or the fact they should’ve smelled her breath immediately and said let’s do bloodwork not a 4k work up. Finally, to the one young tech on your staff who showed us genuine kindness you know exactly who you are. Your heart is full of gold, and your compassion didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for treating us with humanity on one of the hardest days of our lives. Your heart deserves better sweetie I promise. Dixie enjoyed the last meals you provided to her before she left us. You will forever be in our hearts for your kindness.
