  I had to take my Poodle, Bentley to the ER lastnight for GDV (bloat) and I had a great experience. I’ve been here once before with another dog but that was years ago (good experience also). They immediately took him back and were very efficient with diagnosing him. They can be pricey but remember, it IS an emergency vet but completely worth it especially with a life or death situation which i would have been in if i didn’t bring him in when i did. They aren’t pushy about getting you to pay for services not 100% needed, recommended yes, but not absolutely needed and they don’t make you feel bad if you decline certain things. They explained his diagnosis and treatment very well I was confident with him in their care. It also smelled SO good in there it didn’t even smell like any animals stepped foot in there, lol. They also have some complimentary snacks and drinks available in the lobby which was appreciated because I was there for a good minute but only due to there being critically ill patients back to back which was completely understandable. He got some after care meds and is recovering well. Thanks to ALL staff at VCA! Yall are truly angels keep up the great work ethics yall have!

  I brought my dog in after she got out and was hit by a car, they proceeded to hand me a $5,000 bill and I told them I would go elsewhere. Then I paid $500 for them to basically do nothing and give her pain meds. I brought my dog to Dickinson Animal hospital and they did everything that VCA would have done but for $600… do with that information what you will I’m sure VCA provides great medical care but the cost is ridiculous.

  I am extremely disappointed with the care my dog received here tonight. We arrived around 8:00 PM because my dog had a large, open gash on her leg and was actively bleeding. She was immediately taken to the back for vitals, which cost $170. After that, a staff member came out and told me it would be another $140 just for pain medication. Of course I agreed — no pet owner wants their animal to suffer in pain. After that, nothing happened. They told me my dog was “not considered an emergency patient,” even though she had a serious open wound and was still bleeding. She was placed in a kennel and left there for hours. I was told someone was “watching her,” but from my perspective, it did not appear that anyone was actually checking on her condition. By 11:30 PM — three and a half hours later — no treatment had been started, and my dog was still bleeding. At that point, I made the decision to check her out and take her home so I can bring her to her regular vet first thing in the morning. It was heartbreaking to see my dog still bleeding after waiting that long in what is supposed to be an emergency hospital. I understand that emergency clinics get busy, but leaving an injured animal sitting in a kennel for hours without treatment or communication is unacceptable. I left feeling upset, disappointed, and worried for my pet’s wellbeing. I sincerely hope no other pet owner has to experience this.

  Take your pet here, if you want them to DIE! My cat went into labor and the first kitten got stuck halfway (feet first), unfortunately that first kitten passed. I was told to go home and that "sometimes this just happens". My cat still had 2 babies in her and we were told to continue monitoring her labor. 24 hours passed and they told us that it was just "delayed labor". 36 hours passed and we brought her in. They did an ultrasound and the other 2 kittens were dead inside of her! They then wanted to the charge $8000 for an "emergency c-section"! We brought her to another clinic and they charged $600 to remove the other 2 kittens. Long story short, they were ROTTING inside of her and she needed to get injected with numerous antibiotics just to keep the infection from entering her bloodstream! We trusted this clinic in our time of need and they nearly killed our pet and tried charging us THOUSANDS of dollars to fix THEIR MISTAKE!!!! SHAMEFUL PEOPLE!

  Do not take your fur baby to this vet! They killed my 5-year-old Shih Tzu. My baby was kept in ICU for two nights, and it ended up costing close to $5,000 for tests and medication. They called me and told me my baby's heart rate was dropping, and I had to make a decision to euthanize her. It was absolutely devastating. When we went to visit her in the ICU, there was poop in her cage. Please stay away; all they care about is how much you're willing to spend to save your pet's life. I also posted a picture of the lady giving me my baby's ashes; as you can see, there were a lot of other fur babies' remains inside that cabinet. It looks to me like they kill a lot of animals there!
