Just recently moved to the area and had an emergency situation, that involved my Yorkie. They treated him like he was their own. They have an amazing staff if you’re ever in an emergency situation, which I hope you don’t have to call them but if you do they are the right place to go. Because of them we were able to enjoy our vacation !

Kai at VCA Metroplex Animal Hospital was so kind and friendly. She went above and beyond to provide me with helpful information and made it much easier and more affordable to get my dog’s food delivered. I want to say thank you to not only Dr. Barnes— who had directly assisted us— but to the other veterinarians who were there to try to help our elderly dog during the incredibly early hours of July 4th. We brought in our family baby China, who was experiencing severe air hunger panting and struggling to breathe and was unable to lay down without coughing painfully. For context, she had developed several masses along her tummy across the span of a couple of years, likely due to her breed and age, and we were told by other vets (also not associated with VCA Metroplex Animal Hospital) during annual visits that if they weren't affecting her day to day actions she was likely fine. Though we were told through our latest vet (also not associated with VCA Metroplex Animal Hospital) that they were almost certainly a form of cancer at this stage of her life. She was on a treatment plan for some pneumonia she developed for more than a couple weeks earlier and we were told to bring her in after she was through with her medication for x-rays to determine whether or not the cancerous masses had spread to her lungs, because if they haven't, surgery to remove them might still be possible. However if they have, any treatment would be out of the question and it would come down to discussing end-of-life care. However, she did not end up making it that far that night. We were told she had a seizure only minutes after being admitted and that her breathing had stopped, but her heartbeat was still faintly going. After some deliberation with her already severe condition upon arrival, as well as her age and masses, we made the painful decision to decline chest compressions to resuscitate her, as recovery was not at all guaranteed, and any remaining quality of life would have likely been excruciatingly poor. While we did not make it in time for her and would have absolutely wished for her to go far more peacefully, it was clear to me that the veterinarians here took great consideration for her condition and tried their best to treat our baby with the best care they could for an older dog like ours, especially considering how early in the morning it was, and during a holiday, no less, with such little notice. We opted for a home burial, and her remains were handed over to us in a specialized cardboard casket. Amidst the overwhelming waterfall of emotion that had taken us all down, I took comfort in the small heart one of the veterinarians had likely drawn on it. My mom, who was the primary owner of our China, also greatly appreciated the kind thoughts and care in the card that was sent to us by the hospital. Thank you for treating her with the care you would have treated anybody else's furry baby with during her last moments. ❣️

I took my pet to get seen s couple of days ago and was very, very disappointed. I stated my dog was pooping blood they wanted me to pay over 1000 dollars without even wanting to do any of the bare minimum check up they advertise on there coupons for the first free visit. I think it's sad for places like this to operate on the expense of this little innocent animals and innocent people. I hope that someone in management reads this because again all they did was listen to his lungs besides that there was very little help or options to assist me once they heard that I was going through a financial hardship right now. I was not asking for anything free I understand the complexities of business but this is totally unfair to the pets and the people for us to be lured in just for bait and then expect someone to have hundreds of dollars ready to pull out of there pockets when very little to no examinations were really done to submit such a high ticket.
