Avoid this place as much as possible if you’re new!! This is a 0 star place. I came in for their advertised complimentary 1st wellness exam. My appointment is scheduled for 4:20pm and I arrived at 4:25pm. Only 5 minutes mind you because of built up traffic of Gessner Rd. I gather my items and get my puppy out of the car. Mind you, I have a TFCC tear on my wrist and a nerve injury on my foot, so I’m not as fast as I can be. I park right in front of their doors in the handicap parking. I walk in and let the front desk girl know what I’m here for. She says okay and looks at the time that just turned to 4:31. She tells me I can’t be seen anymore because it’s ONE MINUTE over their apparent 10 minute grace period. She insists that it’s protocol, not policy, even though my confirmation email says NOTHING about said protocol. I’ve received calls from them before and was never informed of that at ANY location. I ask if they can be courteous enough to still see me and explained the whole arrival process for me. She gets with an attitude instantly and notifies me that I can be seen within 10-15 minutes. I say okay and she then tells me that it would be under Urgent Care and I would need to pay $144. Excuse me?? That’s absurd to have to pay that for an extra minute for a protocol that was never communicated or posted anywhere. And she then proceeds to tell me “it’s either paying the $144 or not being seen at all today”. This girl knows nothing about what a day it’s been for me at all to then be rude and disrespectful to me in the manner that she was. If you don’t know how to give basic customer service or just be a human being with simple etiquette, then just stay home. If that’s how they treat me without even officially starting my appointment, can you imagine how they would treat me after a service? Or let alone my puppy? She couldn’t even grab a supervisor for me at all. I’m not even sure if this place knows how rude their staff can be to their new clients when no one else is around. Because mind you, there was no one else there at the time of my attempt to check in except for an older lady. Do better, there’s already enough hate in the world for people to spread it anywhere.

Sarah is not only the best vet tech I've ever met, but also the best person! I loved the vet, too. Everyone is super nice and were able to answer all my questions.

I brought in a stray cat and somehow VCA missed that she was so pregnant that she started giving birth to kittens on my lawn the next morning. If they had given me any indication that she may have been pregnant, I would have done so much more for her in that moment. From the patient room while they had her back with them for examination, I overheard the doctors/techs talking about a critical patient who needed to be euthanized - I thought they meant the girl I brought in. It appears they were just busy with another cat and now I wonder how that played a factor in their oversight. SPCA came to pick them up and told me they'll all probably not make it. Please seek other doctors before taking your babies here. My cat will definitely not be going back there.

Terrible service—though they are certainly good at collecting payments. Despite everything I told them about my dog's symptoms, they failed to identify that she had Parvo. Instead, they opted to perform an ultrasound and administer probiotics—even after I explained that she couldn't even keep water down because she was vomiting everything up. They sent us home and told me to bring her back only if her condition worsened. I paid $557.97 for this service, only for her to get even sicker. I didn't go back to them; instead, I went to another clinic where the service is both better and more affordable. Thank God—and thanks to the veterinarians at PetCare Holcombe—my dog was saved from Parvo. Please, do not take your pets to this clinic.
