- NLNoelle LMay 22, 20261.0I had a bad experience at VCA on Jones Rd. The day before my cat’s emergency, I took him there for a complimentary exam. The staff, especially the girl I spoke with on the phone, seemed very nice and friendly. So when my cat had a urinary blockage the next morning, I rushed back at 7am. But this time their attitude completely changed. When I asked how much the treatment would cost because I needed time to figure out payment, the same girl became very dismissive. She wouldn’t even give me a rough idea of the price. She kept walking to the back and left me standing there feeling ignored. I eventually left and went to a smaller local clinic (Fonder Animal Hospital). They were the complete opposite — kind, compassionate, and very reasonable. They treated my cat right away and even let me leave him there while I went to get the money. They never ignored me or made me feel bad. I highly recommend people support smaller local vet hospitals instead of these phony corporate places like VCA.
