  Only been here one time drive we just moved to the area but it was a great experience. My wife had to bring our dog in for a checkup and she is terrified of the vet after an emergency obstruction surgery last year. They took great care of my dog and made the lives easy for everybody. Luna absolutely loved everybody there. They seem like they really care and I couldn’t be happier about choosing this VCA as her new veterinarian!

  The insurance they talked us into CARE CLUB renews automatically amd you have to provide a written letter thirty days before renewal to shut this off. That type of service is only something a crook would use

  The veterinary technicians and doctors here are exceptionally kind and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk staff was disappointing. When I checked in for my dog's appointment, I attempted to inform the receptionist that my dog is dog-reactive and has anxiety. Before I could even finish speaking, I was yelled at and told no rooms were available. I assured her that was fine and willingly followed her directive to wait in the corner behind the front desk, out of the way. After the exam, our technician thoughtfully offered to have the front desk check us out in the exam room to minimize stress for my reactive dog. However, when the receptionist arrived, she cracked the door open an inch, spoke through the crack, and stated she "didn't want to get bit." My dog was on a short leash right beside me, showing no aggression, and I even stepped to the door to pass my card to make her comfortable. When she returned, she claimed she had confused my dog with a different patient. At that point, I explained to her that I am also a vet tech, I understand animal behavior, and my dog has anxiety—I would never put anyone in harm's way. I prioritize safety above all, but being treated with hostility and disrespect for simply advocating for a reactive dog is unacceptable and uncalled for.   I had an awesome experience while taking my baby to get care after being bitten my a family dog. Everyone treated us so nice, show empathy and understanding. Wish I lived in Elgin so I could go back for all of my baby needs.
