If I could put minis 10 stars I would. First I made an appointment to get my Mac checked. They have no concept of keeping to appointment times or customer service. The woman in front of me had been standing there for 5min even though they could see her and just made her wait. Finally got to talk to someone only to be told to sit and wait until they could get to me.
45 min later, past my appointment time, the asked why I was there. I told them my computer had not been plugged in or used in a long time and that it would not hold a charge. Also would not load past the Apple icon. They took my computer and 5 min later I was told it was an $800 motherboard issue and my computer would not update in a few years anyway so best to just buy a new one. I wasn’t buying it. I knew it was a battery issue.
Anyway went home, got a battery from Amazon, installed it myself, guess what, it works like a charm. This band of unskilled lazy workers just didn’t want to do the work and try to force me into paying an exuberant amount of money I didn’t need to. The new battery cost me $50.00.
Do not trust this Geek Squad, do your research and get a second opinion.

We were having issues with a company computer. We are a Nationwide Real Estate company and cannot afford to not have the computer down. Our usual IT was unavailable to help us and Geek Squad specifically Remote Agent Mugilan was so kind, courteous and knowledgeable. He was patient with us while we were getting frustrated and impatient. Mugilan was able to fix our issues in 40 minutes and our system has been running smoothly since he helped. And to top it off- since he was a Level 1 Agent who was able to resolve the issue IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FREE. Will definitely be utilizing Geek Squad more often!

Purchased several computers for work from best buy, needed them fast. Well one...broke down a few months later. Took it to best buy geek squad, and was told they carry no parts for the laptops so it will need to be sent off. 2 to 3 weeks delay but what can I do....so computer with cord as it was mandatory to have both where sent off. They did agree to ship directly to work to avoid further delays. Well 2 weeks later the computer arrives without power cord. After calling the service center said they never receive cords.....hmmm so I drive to best buy on Saturday and come to find out that they keep the cord at the store. Wow, now that really helps with getting my computer back faster. So in store they can not fix anything on laptops and keep your cord so that you have to visit them again to get it back. Never mentioning they had it and in fact implying they sent the cord off with the computer. If this was the only issue I would not rate them so low but there have been others just as stupid
