  Having been recommended by quite a few ppl to switch my service provider from AT&T to Cricket, i attempted to purchase the online deal for their iPhone 16e “$9.99 deal” — which stipulated 3 months of service at their top-tier $60/mnth plan, along with taxes paid on the full cost of the device (approx 10% of $599.99), all paid up front, waiving the $25 activation fee. Overall total to be around $250 OR LESS. Attempted to make the purchase (4-5x) and of course, during the Security Questions section of the process….the “Continue” tab wouldn’t even light up to blue (from grey), to allow me to proceed to next page. Eventually had to go into the Lawrenceburg Store. The Online $9.99 deal could not be honored due to it being online exclusive only. But they offered their On-Site Store Deal of $29.99 for cost of device (iPhone 16e), plus the tax on full device cost, with purchase of the first month only of the $60-m plan. Promised to waive the activation fee of of $25 bc of the online POS system having tech difficulties. Bringing the deal from $235 down to $210 APPROX. ***All deals were offered with agreement to Port Over my wireless service & ph# to Cricket.*** After typing in all my persona info & such, I was advised by the store rep that their system would not calculate nor factor the discount into the final cost. Making the grand total $600-$700. After a series of questions, they asked if I had ever had service with Cricket (esp in the last year); I have Not. NO. They tried re-entering info many times. Near an hour or more. Still nothing. Took my information & stuck it to the top of the Apple product box. Said I would get a call on Monday after they consulted with their Help desk and Info Systems. This all occurred Saturday. Here we are in Wednesday, no calls or emails or anything. I call the store, and the female employee told me simply “Sooo…I was told that if it won’t go thru on our screen that we can’t make it total out to a lower price. So it would be on your end based on your info. Does that make sense?” “No ma’am, it absolutely does not. In any way.” (***Wasnt about to get into policies concerning honoring prices, or sales system overrides per management (or at lengths, god forbid, corporate) approval.*** “Bc your two employees working over the weekend told me that they would set the phone aside, figure out the system Flag for me & get back to me. On Monday.” Up until this point I have been kind & courteous, civil as possible. But even Sunday, my second visit to the store, the male employee was visibly bothered by my return. Today’s call was even worse, so I feel as a customer. If I opt for CW, I’ll find a secondary location. 1/2 of a star out of 5 stars—simply bc the air conditioning worked & all their display models illuminated, appeared to work properly, & did not have any signs of Dorrito grease or wet Jolly Rancher stuck to the bezels.”

  The young African American fellow always fixes my phone for me when I bring it in and he is so nice and sweet to me I really appreciate him so much.
