Our family had to put our beloved pet to sleep at VCA and the facility was very clean, and the staff were very accomodating and curtious! I just recieved my pets remains in a beautiful bag/box that was packaged meaningfully. It was hard making the decision for my pet but I am so glad I chose VCA ❤️

Family brought a cat in to have looked at. Charged 150 bucks to just tell us our cat had no chance of surviving and they told us they needed to put him down. Well it’s been a week and he is perfectly fine now. So they just didn’t want to do their jobs after getting our money and wanted to kill our pet. Well if you want your animal to live I suggest going somewhere else! If you don’t love animals you shouldn’t be working at a ER for animals. Disgraceful place!

Had a x ray scheduled for my dog at 1:30. Get a call at 4 that he’s out of x ray and they’ll call in a hour to discuss. I call an hour and 15 minutes later to be told he’s out of surgery. Finally after fumbling words someone else grabs the phone from there to tell me that he has had no x ray and no surgery and no anesthetics. Mind you a surgery was never scheduled. Not sure what’s going on over there but it isn’t good.

These guys saved our dog! He ate rat poison and was about to die. We took him to this ER and they immediately took him in, connected an IV and started working on him. About 24 hours later they had him in stable condition and after another 24 hours we picked him up and took him home. If your pet is in trouble take them here. They have a wonderful staff and will keep you informed along the way.

I have had to bring a few different pets to VCA over the years, and sometimes it is incredibly hard, but everyone on staff is so kind and professional. I always know that my pets are in good hands if I take them. Last night we took our 7 y/o Boxer mix to see Dr. Kenzi, and even though the prognosis isn't good, we are so grateful for all of her hard work and efforts. We brought our girl home with us for a little bit more time. We highly recommend VCA river for any family with a beloved pet.
