So my experience left me to where I almost wanted to switch to PC because it was so bad at this Apple Store. Here’s the story: I had an appointment for 4:45 PM at the Apple Store. I got there a little early, so maybe that was my fault. So I arrived at 3:30 PM. I walked in the store and the gentleman who was very nice greeted me and said that I would need to come back at 4:45 and I understood that completely so I walked around the mall and wasted a little bit of time and I came back at 4:40 PM. I waited around for my name to be called for 30 minutes and no one called my name so I figured hey well while I’m here I might as well test some of these computers out. So I did while I’m testing these computers out I’m waiting for my name to be called. For an hour, I did not hear my name called so I went up to one of the staff members at Apple and asked them what was going on that I had a 445 appointment. They told me that I just needed to look around the store a little bit more and then they would call me shortly. 730pm Rolls around and my name still hasn’t been called. I even sat through a Apple class, which was a waste of time that they were holding. 830 rolls around and so did the class end. They finally sat me down and told me “that my computer was obsolete. There’s nothing they can do and set me on my way.” My computer is a 2018 model MacBook Pro. As I’m walking out, I see a 2018 MacBook Pro for sale. So why is my computer obsolete if they’re still selling them in the store first off? And what the freak took them almost 7 hours to see me? Shame, shame, Apple!! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I live an hour and a half from the store, but it’s the closest one to me! I believe I deserve an award for being kind and patient, but I guess in a way I did receive an award, if that award is being extremely disappointed!

Had the manager, Sarge, who is a big body builder, ask me if I wanted to take our conversation outside in a very threatening way after I let him know I’d be leaving a review about the Apple replacement policies. It was very unprofessional and the Genius helping me looked shocked he would say something like that. Very very unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. I’d definitely avoid this store if possible.

I don’t leave negative reviews in general, but this is just not right. You can’t call the store directly to see if they have your desired part. You make an appointment, then show up and wait 30 minutes to find out if they can help you. Then you leave your phone with them for 1 hour to then be told that they can’t replace your battery. Will they sell you the battery to do the repair yourself? No way. You live with a depleted battery or buy a new device even though there is nothing else wrong with the existing device. This is how you amass trillions of dollars of “worth.” Android here I come.

Overall bad customer service experience at this Apple store. I made an appointment for a watch repair. After waiting 30 minutes I left. What I observed while there were employees who'd rather stand around and talk to each other than help customers. I will not be going back to this location.

I had a Genius Bar appointment at the Apple Store in Haywood Mall on June 19 at 2:45 PM regarding my MacBook Pro, which cost over $4,000 and had been experiencing repeated kernel panics.
My assigned technician was Akul. During the appointment, he noted that the logic board had recently been replaced. After running diagnostics, he stated there was nothing else he could do and proceeded with a DFU restore. What concerned me most was his attitude and professionalism throughout the interaction.
When discussing the ongoing issue, he laughed and stated that unless the problem occurred directly in front of him, he would not order a replacement. He further suggested that the issue could be caused by me using the system in “unintended ways.” This comment felt dismissive, especially given the significant amount of money invested in the device and the fact that I was seeking support for a recurring hardware-related issue.
As a long-time Apple customer who owns nearly every major Apple product, I expected a higher level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service. Instead, I left feeling dismissed, blamed for the problem, and without confidence that my concerns were taken seriously.
I am not primarily frustrated by the technical outcome; I understand that troubleshooting can be complex. What was unacceptable was the manner in which I was treated. I believe this interaction warrants review by Apple management, as it did not reflect the customer experience Apple is known for providing
