- NNNida NaseerJun 11, 20261.0I brought my new iPhone 17 Pro to this Apple Store because it was experiencing repeated app crashes, kernel panics, random shutdowns, and eventually became stuck in a recovery loop. After multiple resets and additional time spent restoring my device, the phone ultimately required a logic board replacement under warranty. While the hardware issue was eventually addressed, the repair created a new problem: Face ID no longer works and requires another repair visit. The customer service experience was equally frustrating. We waited approximately 3 hours at the mall, were not contacted promptly when the repair was completed, and ended up spending additional time chasing updates ourselves. The phone was returned with my screen protector removed and reapplied poorly, leaving dust and bubbles underneath. I appreciate that the repair was covered under warranty, but a brand-new phone requiring a logic board replacement and then a second repair for Face ID is disappointing. The amount of time, inconvenience, repeated visits, lost settings, eSIM activation issues, and lack of communication made this a much more stressful experience than it needed to be.
