  5/5 Stars – Shawnee and Amy are the Absolute Gold Standard of Veterinary Care! If you view your pet as family, Shawnee and Amy are the exact people you want in your corner. Finding veterinary professionals who possess both elite clinical skill and genuine, heartfelt empathy is rare, but these two are nothing short of extraordinary. I brought in my English Black Lab, Coal, who was suffering from a painful, deeply uncomfortable ear infection. Anyone with a beloved pet knows the helpless anxiety of seeing them in pain, but the moment Shawnee and Amy stepped in, that anxiety completely vanished. They didn't just treat Coal as another patient on a chart; they treated him with the fierce protection and tenderness they would show their own pets. Their handling of Coal was a masterclass in compassionate care. Amy possesses an innate, magnetic gift with animals, and together with Shawnee, they created an environment so calm and loving that Coal’s anxiety just melted away. When it came time to clean his highly sensitive, infected ear, they were unbelievably gentle and patient. When they had to draw his blood, they executed it with flawless precision, speed, and tenderness. Coal stayed perfectly relaxed and barely even registered what was happening because they kept him so beautifully comforted. What truly elevates Shawnee and Amy to an extraordinary tier is their dedication to the pet parent. They stripped all the confusion and stress out of a medical scare, making the entire outpatient process look entirely seamless and easy. They didn't just hand me medicine and usher us out the door. They sat down with me and provided a clear, stress-free roadmap for Coal’s recovery, mapping out exactly what the next steps would be once his blood results returned. Amy and Shawnee took the time to thoroughly explain his medication and showed me exactly how to administer it so I felt 100% confident caring for him at home. Their kindness is deep, their clinical skills are elite, and their genuine love for dogs shines through in every single action. They went entirely above and beyond for my boy, turning a stressful medical situation into an absolute breeze. VCA Old Trail is incredibly lucky to have them.   2dt time taking my 5 month old puppy. Loved vet technician and vet. They were so sweet and gentle with my puppy. She got a shot-- bet put peanut butter in table for her to focus on when puppy got shot.. very clever

  Do not take your animals here. 1. It is more expensive than anywhere else, even Mason Dixon. 2. They do not provide the level of service that a private practice does. 3. General condescending attitude starting with the front desk. This place is a predatory business. You are better off going with Tractor Supply for the same stuff and trips to the emergency vet as needed.

  Come here if u wanna pay for expensive services with not good customer service. Came in for my cat with a dental issue and just to figure out whats going on with him is over 1k in estimated prices That’s not even extractions I told the receptionist to have someone call me and nobody called me.I went to Patton cat hospital and they will do bloodwork,x rays and extractions for the same price.
