  I just left vca from an appt for sparky. As much as I loved and was happy with my first 2 visits is as much as I hated this visit. I was very confused regarding the medication and what I should or should not be giving. The vet assistant did not explain things and didn't answer my questions. I was assuming the vet would come back into the room to explain things. Which she never did. Im confused why I was given a medication for vomiting when I brought him in for black tarry diarhea. I thought they could tell me if there was blood in the sample. They had to send it out and vet tech told me they couldn't tell if there was blood by examining it. They wanted to give fluids after the vet said he wasnt dehydrated. Im lost. She said they would check his anal glands which they never even mentioned. I told them he may have vomited 2 times. That's it. Not telling me anything to do or explain what I should do for the diarhea. As I mentioned I don't understand why they would prescribe maropitant. I didn't realize they reccomended famatidine to I read the paperwork. It was never mentioned. Im still not sure why they never mentioned checking his anal glands. Im very upset that dr never came back in the room as she always did the other visits. Tech was not very friendly and did not seem knowledgeable. I could barely hear her.

  I have been extremely pleased with the care of my cat, Daria, at VCA Old Trail. I've been to several vets for Daria, she always seems to have issues that have no answer, but Dr. Bennett listened to all of my notes, came to a diagnosis, and laid out a treatment plan. Many other vets I've been to have written Daria's issues off and gave treatments that never worked, but not here - she gave explanations for every symptom I noted and pieced together the puzzle that other vets didn't seem to care to solve. I was very pleased with my experience and will be returning to Dr. Bennett for Daria's care going forward.

  Love this vet!! The front staff is always friendly and very helpful. All the vets are great, but I especially love Dr. Bennett!

  Great experience with my dog. Easy scheduling and good follow up system to ensure you don't forget appointments. Super happy with their care for my dog.
