I started taking my shelter-rescue kitty Jet here after adopting him, and the staff here has been nothing but great! We love Dr. Boswell and plan to keep seeing him. He is very attentive to Jet’s needs and listens to my concerns. Recently I brought Jet in for ear drainage/pain and the staff were able to take cultures of his ears and get him quickly diagnosed with an ear infection at the appointment. Jet was given a gentle ear cleaning and sent home with an antibiotic the same day! I was given clear, helpful instructions, and they answered all my questions.🙂
It was easy to make an appointment in the myVCA App when I first noticed the ear issues about 1.5 weeks prior to the appointment. I see other reviewers saying it can take awhile to get in for a sick appointment, but really if my cat was that sick I’d be taking him to a 24/7 animal hospital that has an actual ER, like Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Otherwise, for routine care and non-life threatening emergency sick appointments, this place is great!

This has to be the worst 'veterinary clinic' in the area, if one could even call it that. My cat got an evaluation by a Lewis Faulker who must have Parkinsons because he was shaking so bad he hit my cat in the head with his stethoscope so hard, that it made a noise. Then, he proceeded to shake uncontrollably aggravating my cat further to the point where he couldn't hold my her anymore. Then he THREW my cat back in her cage and slammed the door. Lewis Faulkner whimpered out of the room knowing full well he just messed up. Currently trying to negotiate a resolution/refund with manager Kristen Geary but she seems to not take any responsibility either. Going to report his facility and individuals to state board/American veterinarians association and the better business bureau. They don't deserve you or your pets time, money, patience or even consideration.
