We brought Sophie in to put her down. Hers was 16 and was blind and deaf, and had a stroke. The net wanted to put a catheter in Sophie's paw and give her some sedative to relax her. I argued with the assistant over and over again that I wanted Sophie to have only one shot. Why would you put a painful catheter in a dog's paw just to sedate the dog so you can give him another shot? We argued and argued until the assistant went in the back to talk to the vet she came back and said okay we have the one shot here that will put her down. And I said okay that's perfect and her other assistant was standing there and she put a syringe on Sophie's thigh and was just holding it with both thumbs okay like holding it like like to push down and I said I said wait a minute you told me only one shot. And the assistant goes well we're just going to give her the shot instead of the catheter. My mom is 89 years old and she started crying and just said just do what you have to do. And right then the second assistant pushed that needle straight into Sophie's thigh. She didn't slide it in and I don't know what needles she used but it popped and Sophie flinched really bad. I have no words there are no words. I've gone to this place before 2 years ago we had our dog put down one shot bada boom. What was this all about? Maybe it's to make a little more money by charging for needless procedures. I can't think of any other reason why you would push a needle in like that and Sophie flinched. And she was basically comatose. Okay I vented enough. I'm venting here because I left them an email and said I'd really wanted to talk about this appointment and of course nobody got back to me.
