  This place has had doctors that record without consent and uses AI. You will not be notified or given an option to opt out. This is against the law. FYI Oregon privacy statute ORS 165.540. This includes AI scribes. The office manager told me I was making a big deal out of nothing. This is not a place where ethical and legal standards are prioritized. Edited 08/20. My friend who also uses the practice has told me they put up signage now. If this review concerns you - I’d encourage you to ask the office manager these questions. My concern is that I also use AI at work so I know how inaccurate it can be - it shouldn’t be relied on as a source of truth without validation. 1. What AI scribe do you use, and who is the vendor? 2. Exactly what does the AI capture during my appointment? 3. Is the audio or transcript stored, and if so, for how long and where? 4. Is my information or my pet’s medical information used to train or improve AI models? 5. Who can access the recordings, transcripts, and AI-generated notes? 6. Does a veterinarian review and approve every AI-generated note before it becomes part of the medical record? 7. What happens if the AI makes a mistake or leaves out important information? Am I accountable for AI mistakes or will the clinical hold themselves accountable? 8. Can I opt out of AI scribing or ask you to stop recording at any point? 9. What security and privacy protections does the AI vendor provide? 10. What happens to my data if you stop using the AI vendor? And finally: * Does a veterinarian review and approve the AI-generated note before it becomes part of my pet’s medical record? * How do you prevent the AI from misunderstanding medical terminology, medications, dosages, or symptoms? * Have you had any errors caused by the AI? * What happens if the AI-generated note is wrong? * Is the veterinarian still responsible for the accuracy of the medical record?

  They were absolutely wonderful to me and my kitty Moe.
