I really thought apple store were all about customer service, we came in looking to buy a specific product right at opening and we had to wait 17 minutes just to get anyone to talk to because they didn't have a worker in iPads, I counted a minimum of 15 workers in the store, how hard is it to bring a POS out and let me pay????

I don’t understand why they make you get an appointment when they don’t even honor the appointment! The most ridiculous place I’ve ever been

I visited this store to purchase an iPhone 17. An employee named Harlow directed me to wait near the HomePod area and told me someone would assist me in about five minutes. I ended up waiting close to 30 minutes without anyone coming to help. When I approached another employee, Jason, he told me I needed to be at the iPhone table to get help and that no one would assist me where I had been waiting. There was no acknowledgment that a staff member had directed me there in the first place, and no apology for the long wait. His response came across as dismissive, as if he didn't believe what I was telling him. When I asked to speak with a manager, Jason said he was the manager and that he would follow up with Harlow. I left without feeling confident that my concern was actually taken seriously. I understand stores get busy and miscommunications happen, but a simple apology or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. I hope the team improves how customers are directed and how concerns are handled when things go wrong.

Went in for replacement eartips for airpods and was asking for help. One employee sent me across the store and said they were in the back. She said I would need to grab them at pick up. All kinds of employees everywere but only two at pick up counter. Spent the next 20 min listieing to applestore empoloyees try to upsell two old Ladies on apple news or extra cloud storage with the new phone purchases. Missed my train and left frustrated. Should have bought something else without static as well but now I’m past the point were i could do something about it. Would not go into this apple store again unless I absolutely had to.

This has been the third low quality service visit I have made here! My work computer crashed today and was stuck on the “Welcome” screen. Not only was I ignored multiple times while other people just walking in were helped, but when someone did look at the laptop, I was told there was no time left to help me until two days from now. So I went on Apples site and looked up other locations and made an apt. at a Best Buy. The Genius Bar there was extremely helpful, diagnosed the problem in one minute and had me on the way to a resolution quickly. My previous work laptop was 7yrs old and I dropped it off at the Apple Store for what was to be a couple weeks eta to replace a battery and get it back to me. This ended up taking 6weeks and when I got it back, the battery was not brand new that I paid $249 for, but the entire inside of the laptop “had” to be replaced they said. This computer ended up lasting another two months before battery and system problems made it unusable. Last rant; I came in to buy new AirPods. No one helped me for 45 minutes and all I wanted to do was buy really expensive headphones. So I left and came back another day and had to find someone to help me for almost as long. I don’t think this is a universal problem and these stores, but the customer service in Downtown Portland is really inexcusable and unprofessional/unobservant people shouldn’t be hired to be customer facing.
