  My first time taking my dog Athena to them. She needed surgery for uterine infection. I was pretty impressed with the staff and how well the entire surgical process proceeded. My only complaint concerns how they did not process my Trupanion insurance properly. I now have to get an itemized receipt and submit for reimbursement. If done correctly, Trupanion pays the vet directly. They initially deducted the insurance payout, but then without my authorization charged the amount owed to my card 4 days later. As far as I knew when I left, the insurance part was already considered paid. They need to learn how to submit claims, because Trupanion said a finalized itemized bill had not been submitted. Update: the claim process went great and I was promptly reimbursed by Trupanion. VCA Woodland apologized to me in person for the problem encountered and assured me it will be handled right in the future. Athena's staples were removed today and again I am impressed with their care and concern with my pet dog.

  I have diabetic cat. She gets awesome care here. No pet insurance, no problem they have care card plan. App makes it convenient to make appts and check pet labs, etc. Nurses, techs, front desk and the doc she sees are all great and compassionate. Always can fit in even last minute. Good choice i made on picking this place!

  I haven't yet been there in person but they were such a great help over the phone about possibly getting low cost spay/neuter for a feral cat that is now a half feral house cat 😺 lmao

  The VCA doesn’t have over 1000 locations for nothing. They are all about profit. We have dealt with a couple of very good doctors there but it seems the good ones always leave. I have spent thousands with them because I never did any research. A lot of times they have treated the symptoms instead of the root cause. I would encourage all potential customers to do their due diligence before making the VCA their primary vet.

  I have been taking my furry loved ones to Dr. Maggie George for over 15 years and it is high time I left a review for her. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. George and the VCA staff. My sweet cat Lolo lived to be almost 19 years old! She always gave him the best care, right up until the end. I now have a giant breed dog and I wouldn’t take him to anyone else. Dr. George is a giant breed owner and lover. I trust her to always tell me what our boy needs and give us options on ways to meet those needs. Dr. George is one of my favorite humans. VCA Woodland South will take good care of your four legged family.
