  I wouldn’t come to this location. They don’t honor reservation times and don’t communicate. If there’s a delay, tell me there’s a delay. Not saying anything is ridiculous.

  Brought phone in for battery replacement. They couldn’t replace the battery and gave my phone back to me in unworkable condition. Phone worked perfectly fine before “repair”.

  Arrived as walk-in for Genius bar, lady assisted me for waitlist told me the next available is an Hour, So she verify my number scan serial number of broken ipad. I received a text showed her she said ill receive a message in my phone when they are ready to take me in. 1 hour pass never heard back, went back to Apple store spoke with another staff and manager. Behold, im back to Start! they said because i did not received the correct text message. I know it's walk-in but at least tell your clients the real time to avoid wasting time. They don't care. Avoid this branch if necessary or better yet schedule advance. Some staffs here doesn't know what they are doing!

  Extreme inconvenience, financial lack of transparency, and insulting treatment just to have a computer battery replaced. The Ridge Hill facility is 9 miles away from my home on Netherland Avenue in the Bronx. Resolving a simple battery replacement required me to make a total of 8 trips back and forth, forcing me to travel 72 miles in total due entirely to this store's service failures.. (As of today, I still do not have my computer back) The failures in service occurred as follows: Inaccessible Waiting Area: I arrived with my computer at 9:30 AM for service. Because there was absolutely nowhere to sit, I was forced to stand outside for 30 minutes until the store opened at 10:00 AM. Wasted Travel: Upon entering when the store opened, I was immediately told to come back in 4 hours. I had to drive 9 miles back to the Bronx and 9 miles back to Yonkers a second time just to drop off the device. Lack of Pricing Transparency: After the technician confirmed the battery needed replacement, I was shown a "bill" on a handheld device for $159. The next day, I drove back to the store after receiving a text indicating that the computer was ready to be picked up. Upon arrival, the bill was changed to over $171. Staff claimed the initial quote excluded tax. Apple should provide the actual total price upfront rather than surprising customers later. Insulting ID Verification: Despite holding the official Apple computer receipt, staff demanded a valid government ID to prove my identity. Why did I need to prove my identity when I had the receipt and they had my computer? It made me feel as though I was being accused of trying to steal my own computer. Arbitrary Payment Refusal: After demanding my ID to verify who I was, the store completely refused to accept my TD Bank check. They required my ID to pick up my computer and treated me like some kind of a thief when I tried to pay with a check when they already examined my ID! The clerk said that they only accept credit cards or cash. There was no visible signage anywhere in the store stating that checks are not accepted and no one told me when I agreed to pay the $159 that Ridge Hill Apple Computer only accepts credit cards or cash. Denied Accommodations: When I requested a senior discount—which is standard practice at most businesses for citizens on fixed incomes—it was denied. Rushed Contracts: I was presented with a digital contract on a screen and not adequate time to read and understand the terms before signing. I do not know what I signed Because of your staff's refusal to accept a valid check, I was forced to leave the store empty-handed yet again. I now face another round of traveling to a bank to withdraw cash, and then back to the store. Furthermore, given the exhausting 72 miles of travel, the total lack of notice on payment policies, hidden tax fees, and humiliating treatment, I am demanding financial remuneration for this extreme waste of valuable time and fuel expense
