  Took my cat for supposedly a “free exam”. Ended up being charged $308 for an ear infection! Charges were not disclosed upfront. Felt like theft. I will not be coming back.

  I am not certain I have ever heard of a worse place for veterniary care. While in office, all was well. Charges were high, but it is Manhattan so it is expected. Vet and techs were kind and attentive, but that is where it ends. Following leaving, my 13.5 year old dog required medication refills. We were told that this would take time, as they were not the ones who perscribed the medications (despite me brining in my healthy pet to get established over a week prior, so I am unsure why they were incapable of prepping for this as I gave a list of my medications three seperate times and discussed each individually). I called each day as meds neared running out for 2 days before the weekend, where they said they needed time. Following the weekend, I called when they said their doctors could not perscribe ANY of the medications, meaning my senior dog is running out of medication, and care was delayed as I was told to wait, and now I am being told they cannot write any medications due to the vets here not having adequate credentialing. I am not certian why you would ever bring a pet here if the staff is incapable of accomplishing a task other than being kind.

  The worst medical experience! Charged me for something that was not done. When I called for a refund they declined. Front staff was so incredibly rude. Do your self a favor and find any other vet clinic!

  I took my cat here 2 days after adoption from the Animal Care Centers of NY because the ACC offered a free certificate for examination after adoption. He had an infected lesion and missing patches of fur on his back leg. While the front desk was absolutely lovely, the care was subpar. I asked if it was ringworm, and the vet said no and misdiagnosed it as only a skin infection, without doing a simple Wood’s Lamp test for ringworm. She gave an antibiotic shot and some ointment, but there was no cleaning of the wound, checking his temperature, or listening to his heart or lungs, all of which are standard of care in my understanding of vet med. Two weeks later, new patches of missing fur and lesions have appeared so I bought a UV flashlight myself and lo and behold—ringworm. After calling the front desk to ask if another visit could be comped given the initial misdiagnosis, they said no. I will be going to another vet rather than returning to a place that missed a very simple diagnosis and doesn’t even clean a wound! Overall, if you’re using the ACC certificate for examination post-adoption, or just looking for a vet, go somewhere else. As lovely as the reception staff was, the actual medical care provided is not up to snuff.
