  Apple stores consistently have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This store is absolutely no exception. From the minute you walk in you have to beg the workers for a shred of attention. No one knows how to do anything. They just point at someone else to do the work for them. I went in because a dongle that was bought from their store had stopped functioning. It would 2 hours just for them to see if it worked. There is no customer service. The only people there are bureaucrats who throw a sufficient amount of obstacles to extend the amount of time you wait until your saving would amount to less than the minimum wage and you just shovel more money into their furnace because your time is literally worth more than their assistance. This level of service from one of the most valued companies in the world and from a company that just announced insane price hikes based on a market situation that they themselves helped create is shameful. No wonder America is a laughing stock if we are represented by oligarchs like this.

  Absolutely no help. It’s also no completely the workers fault. The system is over run and makes it slow, there’s not enough workers to help the demand, and the amount of rude customers there make it a difficult atmosphere for the whole store. My recommendation is to find another store.

  I’ve now had two frustrating experiences at the Upper West Side Apple Genius Bar. The first time, I showed up for my scheduled appointment and was made to wait two full hours—and only got served after I reminded someone I was even there. Meanwhile, people who arrived after me were being helped first. They then took my computer for ten days, and it came back still broken. Meanwhile, people who arrived after me were being helped first. They then took my computer for ten days, and it came back still broken. The second time, I’ll admit the appointment was mistakenly booked for the next day—that part was on me. But the way it was handled made it worse. The person at the front checked me in, sat me down, and then left me waiting another 45 minutes. When I finally asked someone else, they pointed out the date mix-up and simply walked away without a word—no offer to help, no attempt to see if I could be squeezed in when they were taking walk in appointments. One worker felt bad for me witnessing the interaction and said I should talk to a manager but at that point I was just done. Just really rude and careless.

  Come here if you love wasting your time. Had an appointment for 12:30. Left at 1:10 after never being checked in. Lady with the iPad speaking to me with attitude like I’m in the wrong. Phone still broken
