ignorant condescending and patronizing, all the while I am/was cordial polite and Dignified.-not that I Think I’m some kind of beacon of perfection,…However confronting people is not going to produce any kind of results-it will be unproductive.I also notice Some, not ALL,women gesticulate with their hands too close to your face(it’s spitefully catty and selfish)eTc. and Some, not ALL, men do it(i.e.gesticulate)too close to your breast area. The person that helped me tried to be nice and wasn’t offensively in my space-ThE actual individual of whom helped me was probably one of the BEST ones There,.Men Look and move around me Like I’m a sex desperate wh…e,when in Fact I’ve CHOSEN celibacy for over 16 YeaRS.-NOT THAT ANY WOMAN WANTS,NEEDS OR iNSTiGATES that kind of treatment,NO MATTER WHO SHE iS OR WHAT SHE DOES.

Every time I have had a Genius Bar appointment at this location, they have been late seeing me (30+ minutes past my appointment time). However, that's not even my main concern for this review. Most recently, I dropped off my phone because the speaker stopped working and returned later in the evening to pick up what should have been a repaired phone (I have Apple Care). I was given the phone and informed that it was repaired - I was told I was "good to go" - but when I tested it, the issue persisted. Apparently, they replaced the screen (which worked fine), but not the speaker (which was broken)! The person who handed me the device apologized for misinforming me, and said it appears they need to order a new speaker part - they don't have it in stock - and it will be another 3-5 days. Not only did I waste an entire evening of my life going here, but they replaced the wrong part, misinformed me about it, and now I don't have a fully functional / working phone for next 3-5 days. I have Apple Care for my device. This is unacceptable customer service!

Life isn't fair. Like me, if you are reading this, then you are most likely privileged. We have a lot to be thankful for. Food to eat. Clean drinking water. A roof over our heads. Then came along Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. They promised us so much more. There was life before Apple and there is life with Apple. They are not the same. Now all of us, with time and dedication, have the brain of a cyborg at our fingertips. We can wonder the world, solve quadratic equations, bend the space-time continuum, and play video games. Many of us depend on our computers for work and for play. This is why, when I accidentally broke my MacBook Pro a few weeks ago, I felt like a fish out of water. Gone was my ability to edit photographs, design vector graphics, and even look for a new roommate. Surely, my struggle is a first world problem, but not having a computer means not paying the rent. I panicked and, without an appointment, ran to the Apple Store Upper West Side. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the kindness and service at Apple. Even though the store was busy, the manager on duty scheduled a time for me to see a genius. The wait was short. Enter Chris and Jess. The first of many angels who helped me. When I dropped my computer, I bent my screen and broke it. I needed a full screen replacement. Chris and Jess assured me that they would fix my laptop in a timely manner. Instead of a $1,000 repair bill, because I had AppleCare, the cost to me would be $99. I was given a 5 day estimate turnaround. Yes, I still had my iPhone mini, but there is no way any artwork would get done. Then, of no fault of Apple, things started to unravel. Apple could not find a replacement screen. Five days turned into a week and then turned into two weeks. This entire time, I was assured by the Apple technical support team on the Upper West Side that they were working on it. One night a technician called me at 9:30pm, still at work, still trying to find a replacement screen. At the beginning of week three, I was at my wits' end. I called the Upper West Side repair department. Enter angel number three, Pablo. Wow, what a professional. He heard my pleas and assured me he would solve this problem. He said he would call me back. Ten minutes later, he did. Pablo called and told me that Apple would replace my broken computer with a new one. I was floored. I was in tears, literally. I was perfectly happy with my old MacBook Pro. I did not need a new one, so I was shocked and awed by this incredible gift that I do not deserve, but I am incredibly grateful for. I immediately went to the Apple Store to meet Pablo and pick up my new computer. A few minutes after I arrived, Pablo walked out with this new shiny box. As he opened it, I was shaking. Inside was a brand new MacBook Pro. As Pablo was helping me set up my new computer, I inquired about the team at Apple that made this happen. Pablo pointed out Abigail, one of the stellar managers at Apple. Moments later Abigail appeared in front of me. I was so moved I welled up with tears and I asked for a hug. She generously accepted and she made sure I was well taken care of. No amount of gratitude can express how Abigail and everyone at Apple went above and beyond to help me. Again, I thank, from the bottom of my heart, everyone involved. Chris, Jess, Pablo, and Abigail. I thank the entire team at Apple. As I said, life isn't fair. Here in the U.S., many of us struggle to pay our rent and many more do not have healthcare. I write this with humble gratitude. You can rarely change someone's life but you can always change their day. My day, my week, my life is blessed by the angels at Apple... now let's talk about Santa.
