    Apple Upper East Side — 940 Madison Ave: Two days of incompetence, zero accountability, and one employee who seemed to enjoy watching me suffer. I have AppleCare. I made an appointment. I showed up on time. None of that mattered. Monday, 12:45 PM: I arrive for my scheduled appointment. I wait. And wait. At 2:00 PM — 75 minutes later — a technician finally tells me they cannot repair my iPhone because they don't have the parts IN STORE. Not that the repair is complicated. Not that there's a supply chain issue. They simply didn't stock the parts before my scheduled appointment. With AppleCare. At a flagship Apple Store on Madison Avenue. Then — same day Monday — I get an email saying the parts arrived. So I go back Tuesday and drop off my phone. I'm told to return at 8:00 PM for pickup. I show up at 8:00 PM. The store closes at 8:00 PM. The phone is repaired and sitting there. And they refuse to give it to me. I explained — calmly — that I had an early drive to Westchester the next morning for a work meeting and desperately needed my phone. The employee's response? A smirk. Not a sympathetic smile. A smirk. The kind that said "I am genuinely enjoying this." No attempt to escalate. No manager called. No creative solution offered. Just a wall of indifference dressed in a blue t-shirt. Two days. Two trips into Manhattan. AppleCare paid and current. And I left without my phone, without a solution, and without a single apology from anyone except — I kid you not — the security guard at the door, who was the only human being in that building who treated me like a person. Apple charges premium prices and sells premium promises. This store delivered neither. If your time has value, your work depends on your phone, and you expect a corporation that profits $100B+ a year to at minimum staff a repair center with basic parts — go somewhere else. Apple Corporate: this location is a liability to your brand. The smirk alone cost you a customer.

    The staff were nice, and I’m sure they’ll solve the problem eventually. But Apple’s customer experience now feels like a medical practice. I walked in hoping for a quick fix. They put me in line, told me to wait 40 minutes, then called me over just to check me in — and after that, I waited another 30+ minutes with nothing happening. Almost an hour and a half later, the actual service still hasn’t even started. If you walk in expecting a fast resolution, your day may be ruined.

    Rio is pulling the weight of this entire God forsaken store. This was my review before he jumped in and helped me: A deeply unpleasant experience I truly did not have time for. Please note all my other reviews are five stars… that’s how much this sucked After WAY too much time I feel blessed and impressed that hell hole has Rio. 100% convinced I would have died there… without working AirPods without him coming in for the save. Promote the dude.
