Everyone was wonderful and I wish I knew the doctors name he too was patient and kind to us thanking us for taking such good care of Puma. Unfortunately we had to let our Puma girl go that day. Our family was heartbroken. The kindness and support your staff showed us really meant so much to me. So very grateful for the peaceful environment VCA provided for us while we spend our last moments with her. Forever grateful.

The Staff is extremely nice and accommodating, my Vet, Dr. Winters has saved my Pet, enough said. They have multiple payment programs, Rx Programs, Physical Therapy, Donation CupBoard, work closely with Local ASPCA & PD. You’re fur baby is in Great hands here.

So eternally grateful for the care my beloved pittie Dora received while at VCA Flannery of New Windsor. After my sweet little angel became very sick in the middle of the night, I rushed her to a local emergency clinic who did X-rays and then referred me here. The kindness, compassion, and gentle care my sweet girl received was second to none. The patience of the staff on the phones while I frantically and frequently called for updates during her hospitalization was so appreciated. After the scariest 3 days of my life, my sweet girl is healing well from surgery & is home safe. I am so so grateful for the entire team here, for Dr. Winter - thank you for caring for my Dora the explorer like she was your own. I am in tears writing this because I couldn’t imagine her not coming home, and thanks to the expert care at VCA Flannery, that did not happen 💕

LACK OF EMPATHY, PROFIT FOCUSED, BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY I've waited over a year to write this review to seriously allow emotions to pass and write this as honestly and objectively as possible. We were customers for 10yrs with our beloved Chocolate Lab, Jack. And I can say with 100% honesty, the place we started with Jack's care, and ended with are NOT the same. First and foremost. This animal hospital was a locally owned practice that was sold in 2017 to VCA Animal Hospitals, a conglomerate that generates $4-6 billion in revenue for Mars Inc, the $60 billion candy company that makes M&M's and pet foods. Let that sink in. When Jack was an 8 week old puppy in 2015, the care was warm, animal focused and fantastic. How quickly that changed when they were bought by VCA in 2017, and how the care has deteriorated since. This is a profit driven enterprise. The focus is dollars and cents, and wow do you feel it, now more than ever. Staff are trained to push sales, financial commitments, and everything comes out on a clipboard before they even address treating your animal. On May 13th, 2025, we took an unwell Jack to Flannery for scans to see what was going on. 4hrs later we were told he had cancer. We all drove over immediately to see him. Upon arrival, we were escorted to a room, and an admin worker (with a clipboard) asked us if we'd like to have him cremated or take his body home and handed us an estimate. WITHOUT telling us if he was even alive! I said "where is my dog?? Is he alive?" and she said "oh, yeah, did you decide on euthanasia?" Are you kidding me?? We hadn't even seen Jack or one of the doctors and someone is handing me a clipboard demanding thousands of dollars to cremate my dog that I haven't even seen?? I cannot articulate how angry I was and I demanded to see my dog. They finally brought Jack in, with a doctor and I asked what our options are. Her response? "I'm not an oncologist." I asked repeatedly what his prognosis was and the answer every time was "I'm not an oncologist, you could bring him somewhere". We felt pressured to euthanize Jack because the doctor refused to give us an answer. Maybe it was the right call, maybe he had more time, I argue with myself still today. What I don't argue is this absolute lack of empathy we felt. What is this place? It's not a hospital. It's a money driven morgue that prioritizes dollars over care and comfort for owners. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. This is owned by a $60 billion company that does not care about you, your pet's welfare, or anything but your wallet. What was once a lovely locally owned clinic has turned into an absolute corporate monster. Shame on you Flannery!
