- KAkaygen andrewsJun 5, 20261.0We had our 7 month old female dog spayed and a pexy surgery, she was a puppy so obviously an active dog. After surgery we were given pain meds but never asked if she was hyper before surgery. She was definitely a high alert puppy to anyone coming in the driveway etc. Last saturday she passed because of complications from the surgery either the surgery was botched or they didnt prescribe meds that would keep her calm. I noticed something with her suturelate friday afternoon. Contacted VCA immediately and was told she would have to go somewhere else because they close at 6. I called at 3:40. Went to Syracuse who also turned us away and then Latham who deemed her too far gone. They said if she had just been seen when I had called it could have been a different story. After the fact when contacting VCA we were informed sometimes this happens and we will send a card. This doesn’t bring my dog back.

Although Dr. Prichard oversees all my furbabies, everyone is always incredibly helpful, thorough, considerate and always do the most for us. I always highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. They’ve all been there for me through everything my fur babies have gone through and never bat an eye. They’re the ones I trust most!
