    I'm pretty in pink

This was the worst place that I’ve ever been to. They definitely didn’t mind taking $425 from me. The vet never contacted me about my cat and mistaken, her for being a male. I sent them urine and fecal samples and then they emailed me a week later for the samples. They try to overcharge me and put me on debt for 800 and something dollars. They wanted me to do extra shots for my cat that she did not need and that bill was going to be 600 and something dollars. I did the calculation and if I did it in a monthly charge, it would’ve came up to 800 and something dollars.. The vet emailed me (AI )I’m sure and told me to look on the website to see what I need for my cat. meanwhile, they found crystals in her urine… and no one ever called me to tell me what I should get for my cat . I explained in the email that my cat has been throwing up her food for weeks and I still haven’t heard from anyone. They called me this week and asked me if I’m ready for the set up rabies shots. I said I’m not getting my cat rabies shots because she doesn’t go outside, but the vet wouldn’t Contact me to see what I need for my cat.. and she’s still vomiting. I had to do my own research and figure out what kind of food she needs and I have to give her small portions because if I give her the entire, can she still vomits and not even the vet could tell me that .The nurse was so eager for me to sign up for the monthly bill. She was upset that I was doing the calculations on my phone. Do not bring your pet here. They are most definitely not helpful and will take your money without helping your pet

Thank you to everyone at Hope Animal Hospital for their care, intelligence and kindness. I first started bringing my cat Miumiu in 2016 and now we are back, after living away for awhile. It was a no-brainer to come back to you all!

This place is the most cleanest, friendly and professional vet clinic. The appointments are easy to make and as soon as you get there, after filling out the paperwork you get called. Also they fill you in on what your pet needs and what the cost would be. I highly recommend, especially if you're in the Brooklyn area.

Go somewhere else if you can. Their communication is all over the place - I was called directly about an appointment I made to pick up medication, was told I didn’t need to bring my pet in and could pick the meds up that day. The meds weren’t ready when I got there, so I said I’d pick them up the next day - Got there the next day and was told they couldn’t fill the prescription without my pet there. When I told them about the phone call I received, the person who called me hadn’t updated the notes to reflect the information she shared. So not only did she give me what turned out to be the wrong information, she also never called to update me about that information being wrong. This whole situation was to get my cat stress meds pre-move, which the person who called me knew about since I’d put it in my appointment notes. I made two trips for nothing and will use some natural Google-searched remedy for my cat. Cest la vie. The receptionist on the second day was as helpful as she could be which is why it’s two stars.

No grievances about their care itself, but this practice became so greedy that I just switched to a new vet after 6 years. Last year I came in for my cat’s annual checkup. I was unemployed and had to open a new CareCredit card then and there to pay for the visit, which included an $80 fecal sample, for which they gave me a little bottle with a sticker saying to bring it in within 30 days. For various reasons including my cat’s very inconsistent bowel habits I was unable to get a good enough sample until a little after 30 days had gone by. When I called to confirm they could extend the 30-day timeline — which I didn’t even think would be necessary given that this was a made-up deadline they had arbitrarily set — the receptionist told me that no, unfortunately, my fecal sample kit was no longer going to be accepted after 30 days, I would need to pay another $80, and they would not be able to refund my original $80. So I spent 6+ months paying off a $450+ vet bill that included a service they disingenuously decided not to honor after I paid for it in advance. (And because Synchrony is a scam company, I incurred $20+ in late fees because you can’t set up autopay for the CareCredit card that VCA had me sign up for.) At that point I never got the fecal sample for my cat; they prioritized squeezing an $80 fee out of me over checking my pet’s health. Used to be a good practice back in 2020 but got hollowed out and turned into an ethically-compromised money pump. There are better vets within a mile, don’t settle for this place.
