Stayed here for a work conference at this hotel in the 4th floor. Due to a faux pas by the hotel upon check-in which I will not describe since one of their staff rectified it, we were given an upgraded room on the 49th floor with a balcony and great view of the Bellagio fountains and The Sphere. Room was clean. Bathroom was spacious. Separate door for toilet is always nice, but tough for those night bathroom visits when said door closes automatically. Not as smoky on the main floor compared to other casinos, but still irritated our noses when walking through this highly public areas. Lots of food & drink choices, but all typically over priced. Using the sidewalks and bridges, good location to walk around. After the conference, we moved to Treasure Island to save money, but you get what you pay for, and that was certainly a downgrade.

Normally when I check into hotels priced at $600+ per night, I don’t expect to spend 35 minutes just getting through check-in. I wish I were exaggerating, but this seemed to be the norm here. I understand that short staffing can happen—though it was a bit surprising for a Saturday at 4 PM—but it still set a disappointing first impression.
What stood out even more was that there was no acknowledgment of the delay, not even a simple gesture like offering a welcome drink after such a long wait.
When I finally got to my room (booked through AMEX FHR, with no upgrade—which, to be fair, is pretty standard these days), the cleanliness was unacceptable. There were used towels from previous guests left in the closet, which was concerning. At that point, I didn’t want to go back downstairs and potentially wait another 30–40 minutes to resolve the issue.
At the end of the day, I had a place to stay—but that’s about it. For $600+ a night, this was nowhere close to a luxury experience, and frankly, not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend.

Stayed here a few years ago and it was an incredible experience so we stayed here again. Once they found out I was a first responder and it was a special occasion they jumped through hoops to make sure we were happy and wanted to even comp a night for us to stay longer. THIS TIME WAS TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!! We first got here and couldn't even check in beacuse we weren't the "main" person on the reservation but... we were added to it as a guest. We spent 2 and a half hours in the lobby with them giving us the run around before the manager took care of it in 10 min. Then.... attached was the condition of our room! Even with that... weve decided today to stay 1 more night Tommorow night (sunday night) going into Monday. They were not only not willing to work with us to get us to stay the prices are jacked up and we are told there arent many rooms available. Really?!?!? On a Sunday night?! Really?! Other hotels are a fraction of the price shoot some are almost free just pay the resort fee. They were extremely rude through the process as well when we wanted something resolved!! This was a trip for my 35th birthday among other special occasions etc etc.. and WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN EVER!!!! I get it people are blinded by the good views but stop for a second! Is it really worth the fact 90% of everything else is terrible and your paying 5x more. NO! But one good thing... Jose at the bar in the lobby is one of the best bar tenders ever and extremely nice!!! Thank you man for being one of the only good things about this hotel! Update: found a little "present" outside our door and tried one last time before packing to move to another hotel for tonight with the manager. I was told she couldn't do anything. Went to the Bellagio and talked to the main guy at the desk about everything we all went through. THEY HOOKED IT UP AND MADE SURE WE WERE HAPPY!! The cosmopolitan you really need to fix some things you are losing more money than you think!!
We were extremely disappointed by our check-in experience at the Cosmopolitan. We chose this property for our anniversary and arrived excited for what we hoped would be a special stay, but the front desk experience immediately left a bad impression. We are Marriott Platinum members and specifically booked this hotel to celebrate our anniversary. We had heard from friends that the Cosmopolitan had acknowledged special occasions with small touches like anniversary chocolates, and our family has had similar experiences at other Las Vegas properties such as the Wynn and Venetian. We were not expecting anything extravagant, but we did expect at least a basic level of hospitality and recognition. Instead, the front desk staff was rude, dismissive, and made us feel like our concerns were an inconvenience. We also paid for a fountain-facing room and specifically requested that the tub window face the fountains as well. That is not the room we received. Even more frustrating, no one clearly disclosed at check-in that there would be a $1,000 upfront hold for damages, incidentals, or minibar charges. Finding that out without any proper explanation was an unpleasant surprise and added to the feeling that communication throughout the check-in process was poor and careless. This was especially disappointing because this was our first trip to Las Vegas, and we were celebrating our anniversary. We truly loved Las Vegas and had hoped the Cosmopolitan would become our go-to hotel for future anniversary trips. Instead, the service at arrival made the experience feel unwelcoming and mishandled from the start. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would strongly consider staying at the Wynn next time instead. For a property with this reputation and price point, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and failure to deliver on what was booked fell well below expectations. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes an effort to address this experience appropriately.

If you’re looking for a “luxury” hotel experience where check-in times are apparently just a suggestion, then The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas is perfect for you.
I was looking forward to my stay at the cosmopolitan as many reviews on TikTok and Google expressed that the Terrace One Bedroom Suite with fountain view was one of the best views in the city. As this being my first ever trip (& last trip for a while) to Las Vegas, I was looking forward to enjoying the view of the sunset from my room for my one night stay.
Check-in is advertised as 3:00 PM. I arrived at 5:00 PM only to discover via the hotel app that my room still wasn’t ready. After standing in line and showing staff the message, there was no urgency, no real apology, and no clear explanation. Just confusion and waiting in the lobby with all my belongings for a ‘text message’ that never in fact came.
After an hour wait on the lobby I was concerned that I was going to miss the sunset and my husband decided it was best to stand in line the get an additional update. Upon his inquiry, then suddenly a sense of urgency had been activated.
Around 7 PM we finally got the keys to enter our room. I did not fully get to enjoy the sunset which was beautiful because I then had to rush to get ready for a full night that was already planned and now thanks to The Cosmopolitan two hours behind schedule.
It’s honestly impressive how a property this expensive can be so disorganized. Guests plan travel around check-in times for a reason. Being left wandering the casino floor with luggage while the hotel figures itself out is not exactly the VIP Vegas experience being sold online.
The hotel and the room were absolutely stunning but aesthetics don’t make up for poor service, lack of communication, and zero accountability. Luxury should mean smooth operations and respect for guests’ time, not excuses and delays.
Check out was no breeze either. I went down to the hotel front desk to go over all the charges that were on the room. I double checked with them that everything was good to go. They assured me that the parking was paid for and that my room key would give me access ,free of charge, to the parking garage for the remainder of the day.
Upon leaving the parking garage, we scanned our hotel key only for the screen to show a balance of $50 in order to leave. Luckily we saved the ticket from when we enter the parking garage (that an employee told me that I could just ‘throw away‘ because I wouldn’t be needing it anymore) and the balance was only $20 to leave… funny how that works.
Save your money or lower your expectations, because the service here does not match the reputation I’m thoroughly disappointed not to mention I’ve been trying to deal with this outside of posting a review for the past week, but I’ve had no luck. Every email that I attempt to use from their website bounces back. So if you are trying to get in contact with them, best of luck to you.
