- SKShamah KMar 25, 20261.0I brought my elderly diabetic cat in for a visit due to possible uti with blood in urine. Our cat was under stress, and the vet assumed our cat had cystitis or inflammation of the bladder. The urinalysis results were not available for at least a day or two. The vet did not treat for a uti. Two weeks later our cat is having a handful of issues and I decide to go to a local vet, where I received phenomenal care. Our cat received blood work, urinalysis, treatment IV fluids, all for half the price of what VCA was going to charge me for blood work alone (at least $1200). The urinalysis and blood work results were given within 30 minutes and our cat was positive for a uti. I believe we did not receive the correct care from vca and were charged an arm and a leg for basically no treatment. So, this is my PSA to go to local vets!
