VERY EXPENSIVE and definetlyover does tests that unnecessary! Don't fall for the first visit free bs, my bill was $530 and it did not get rid of his paw infection. After he finished antibiotics that VCA gave. I went to my regular vet in Barnagat and he still had infection, my vet gave him new antibiotics and the foam that goes into his paws. Cut his nails again cause VCA did them but where still too long and VCA charged 30 dollars for it!. Where my vet I brought him to gave him a new antibiotic, the foam for his paws, and clipped his nails again(my vet doesn't charge if it's an office visit) my bill with my vet was $97 plus tax! Let me explain that the dude I was seeing, paid the VCA bill in full, so thank god I didn't have to pay, he insisted we go VCA. I will never ever bring any of my dogs to VCA, or anyone else but my vet! I should of known, cause my dog is very good with and at vets office, never has accudents, they love Dr Beehan. But at VCA he peed all over the floor. He never does that. Also there was like 4 different people at VCA checking out my pup. So if your like myself, I could of never afforded a $500 plus bill. If your not situated with a regular vet, I highly recommend Barnagat Animal Clinic on rt 9 in Barnagat also be sure to ask for Dr. Behan. He is the best, he extended my beloved rottie Babygirl life with a cancer and tumor on back inner thigh of his leg. He gave me almost a year more with my big marshmallow fluffy rottie, that he controlled her pain, she acted like nothing was wrong with her, Dr Behan surley loves animals as he did all he can for her, and gave me extra year, that would of never gotten especially at VCA. Also, all my dogs but one doesn't pee on floor in office! My little girl gets nervous and always pees. 😂 so stay away unless you're rich and want unnecessary tests, shot, and charge 30 bucks for nail trim!

My ex wife took my dog bubba to this establishment and lied to them and said he tried to bite her and her children. Which obviously was a total fabricated lie. I arrived at this vca location where she demanded my dog bubba to be euthanized. I showed up there begged and pleaded with the vet, offered money, unlimited to keep my dog. The dr on staff at the time said she already signed the paperwork and reported bubba to the township and he died innocently in my arms. 2 year old cattahoola water dog. As bubba passed she smiled with gratification. I did everything in my power to save my dog but unfortunately her hatred towards me won that day. I will never forget bubba and today I have Tito. He is my therapy dog that is also a cattahoola water dog. He is also the same age and looks similar to Bubba. I've been going to therapy over ptsd from what this monster and this establishment has done to me. Do not trust this vet. I offered her and the vet an unlimited amount of money to save Bubba. I've been in years of treatment from this incident and authorities and attorneys have not helped me since. This happened in 2023. I recently had to take another one of my pets to "the rainbow bridge" due to kidney failure and it gave me the strength to finally tell my story about this monster that ruined my life and the vet that sided with her.

I rated Fisher Vet one star for the visit with Dr. The staff was amazing but the Dr. No way. Had appointment on Saturday the first time with my Lexi and she is a sweet dog but very afraid of everything and the dr first thing muzzle which scared Lexi plus she need shots and wellness visit well first all she did check heart no checking of ears or anything else then jabbed the poor dog in leg with out alcohol first and my poor dog crying. Im still upset. Plus took care plan which you cannot cancel but I will not have her fixed there nor go back. Horrible experience especially for my Lexi. Plus been with VCA for over 20 yrs. That Dr.needs to go back to school....

I have never reviewed bc I just find it unnecessary but I’m finally fed up. My pets growing up have always gone to Fischer VCA and seen Dr Danowitz who’s the most caring knowledgeable vet I’ve ever met but as of the past couple of years I have been nothing but disappointment and drained of money. I have been bringing my cat Ember to this location since I got her almost 5 years ago every year for her annual exam and rabies as well as anything else due. For whatever reason the costs of the visit and vaccines has gone up almost 100 dollars every year. Not affordable by any means. The drs I have gotten the past couple years are very unfriendly, rush you through the appointment, and relay very little info unless you ask yourself. The final straw for me was at my last visit this month. My cat was super nervous n shaking and ended up peeing in her carrier at the end of the appointment. I was super stressed and was fumbling around trying to figure out what to do and how to clean the mess. The front desk receptionist just handed me paper towels and didn’t help whatsoever just looked insanely bothered so I felt kinda stuck not knowing what to do with my soaked cat. Just wanted to say that because it wasn’t a great experience in that moment. I’d really appreciate more support in situations like this. Because of this and many other issues I will no longer be taking my cat to this or any VCA locations in the future. Such a shame since they used to be so friendly and reliable and supportive but that is clearly not the case anymore.
