I’m officially DONE with this place. I started bringing my dogs here back in 2016 when my first dog needed surgery, and they were fantastic. Unfortunately, whatever this place used to be is long gone. Since VCA purchased them, the decline has been absolutely unbelievable. It seems like the good veterinarians have either been cut or many of them left after VCA took over. The quality of the experience has gone downhill, and now the cleanliness and sanitation is absolutely disgusting. This is my second visit recently, and once again, the entire place smells like pee. Not a faint smell. I’m talking about walking in and immediately smelling pee. There was pee ON the scale. There was pee around the poles. And now I’m sitting in an exam room waiting for my dog to be examined and this room smells like pee too. How does the front desk staff sit there and apparently not notice this? How does someone see pee on a scale in a veterinary office and not immediately clean it? Accidents happen, it’s a vet office, but leaving pee sitting around and allowing the entire facility to smell like a public kennel is completely unacceptable. And then it somehow gets worse. When the tech came to get us, I told her about the pee on the scale. To her credit, she immediately grabbed paper towels and a mop and cleaned it up. I was like great, she’s handling it…except after cleaning up urine, she proceeded to touch everything without washing or sanitizing her hands, even after we got into the exam room. So now I’m sitting in an exam room wondering what what just happened, how did this tech just clean up pee with paper towels, ball them in her hand and didn’t wash them or use sanitizer!! A veterinary office should be clean. It should smell clean. Basic sanitation should be non-negotiable. I shouldn’t have to sit in an exam room wondering whether my dog is being treated in a sanitary environment. It’s honestly sad because I remember when this place was good. I trusted them with my dog’s surgery back in 2016. Now I’m sitting here counting the minutes until I can leave. VCA managed to take a veterinary office I once genuinely trusted and turn it into a place that smells like pee and makes me question whether basic cleanliness and sanitation are even being taken seriously. There’s more reasons beyond this one, but I’m done, my dogs deserve better and I refuse to sit in a place that smells like pee.

We saw Dr Nguyen when we brought our dog in for end of life care. We knew she was sick but having to actually say goodbye was the hardest decision we made. Dr Nguyen was so kind, spoke so gentle to us and calmly went over everything with us giving us her complete attention and when it came time to say goodbye, she did not rush us. Nothing could’ve changed how much saying goodbye hurt but I am so thankful for the experience we had with Dr Nguyen, the techs and the front desk that day. They were kind and compassionate during a very dark time for us.
