When I first got my iPhone 16 I really just wanted to get it set up myself but spent over an hour having some kid basically talk down to me. Fast forward 1.5 years, the battery failed (still under Apple care). I brought it in. First I sign their waiver. Then they say they need to remove my screen cover. I offer to remove it but the guy insists and then goes “oops now it’s cracked”. But because I signed the waiver apparently it’s now my problem and I can pay for them to replace it (even though I offered to remove it). They were able to fix the phone but when I picked it up I was told to go sit at one of the middle tables where the person helping me kept handing me off to someone else who would then asked me who had been helping me and why I was there. There are SO many people working there but god forbid someone should wait with you to help. I finally lost my temper when I tried to get the latest person to come over. He was chatting with someone and it clearly was not a work conversation (fist bumps, clearly talking about some friends they had in common) and told me to wait my turn. So I left and dealt with the rest of set up of the phone myself. The older employees who work here are pretty reasonable and professional but the people working the floor seem to be much more interested in socializing and avoiding work at all costs so I’m not surprised that others say this store is inefficient. Oh and to top it all off … now my screen is scratched. It wasn’t when I went in. Honestly, I’ll live with it because I’m not going back there.
