The mission of the DCAC is to provide a safe, family friendly environment that promotes hope, health, and healing to traumatized children and their families.
We work alongside a multidisciplinary team from law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors' offices, victim advocates, mental health, and medical professionals. Our goal is to promote healing and justice for victims of child abuse.
By coordinating the response of the team, we ensure that when a child discloses abuse, they are not re-victimized by the very systems designed to protect them.
From the first report, to conviction and beyond, Dakota Children's Advocacy Center keeps the child at the center of everything the team does.
