Ivybrook Academy

Ivybrook Academy Weddington is a private, half-day preschool serving children ages 18 months to 6 years. Designed for families in Union County, South Charlotte, and Ballantyne, our curriculum meets every child where they are developmentally. Our curriculum thoughtfully blends the independence of Montessori with the collaborative, project-based discovery of Reggio Emilia. With small class sizes, passionate educators, and a vibrant Discovery Program, we give each child an individualized path from the very beginning. Limited spots available for the 2026-27 school year. Ivybrook Academy Weddington is the founding campus of a network of more than 100 preschools nationwide. Started by Drew and Jennifer McWilliams in 2006.
