  I visited an Apple Store and spent time looking at Apple Watch displays, but during my visit I felt that an employee (“Ed”) and a security guard were closely watching me in a way that made me feel uncomfortable and unfairly suspected of stealing, even though I was simply browsing and had no intention of taking anything. I felt that Ed’s comments and behavior were hinting at me potentially stealing the Apple Watch, which came across as accusatory rather than welcoming. The managers I spoke with were polite and professional, but the overall interaction with that employee made the experience unpleasant.

  I had a very frustrating experience with Apple Store. I visited last week to replace the battery of a device that had completely stopped working. After inspection, I was told that instead of replacing the battery, they could provide a replacement device (same model) for the cost of a battery — which sounded reasonable — but I was told it would take about a week. I agreed. After a full week, no one contacted me. I had to go back in person, only to be told to wait until the end of the week… which now turns into another full week of waiting. Meanwhile, my son has been without his phone for over a week, which could have been avoided with better communication. At that point, I simply asked to proceed with a battery replacement instead. Surprisingly, I was told they could NOT replace the battery for “safety reasons.” This makes no sense — the device was already inspected, and replacing the battery was the original purpose of my visit. The biggest issue here is not just the delay, but the inconsistency: * First, a replacement device is offered with a long wait * Then no follow-up at all * Then more delays * Then refusal to do the original repair This is not the level of professionalism or customer care I expected. Clear communication and consistent decisions should be basic standards. Very disappointing experience.

  My wife and I went to the Apple store at Crabtree yesterday looking to purchase two new iPads. We aren't avid gamers or businesspeople. We're both in our 70s and retired. We wanted basic iPads to replace our old units. We came in and were assigned to Pen. Pen was a 10. Here's why. He was respectful but not cloying. He never talked down to us. We told him what we wanted, and that's what he showed us. He didn't try to sell us more than what we needed. He never seemed rushed even when other customers hovered nearby. When we had questions, he explained things until we understood. He transferred all our apps and pics to our new iPads and talked us through erasing all our personal data from the old units. A thoroughly pleasant experience! Pen, you are a 10!!

  I unfortunately spilled water all over my keyboard and decided to make an appointment to get the Genius Bar to take a look. staff was attentive and sweet upon arrival. my technician (Alex, I believe) was super communicative and they sent off my macbook to get everything checked out upon request. if you have any difficulties I would definitely recommend this store as staff is helpful and patient.

  Probably one of the most condescending stores I’ve ever been to in my life. If you’re ever in the mood to be spoken to like you’re 5 years old, David has you covered. And don’t worry: they won’t even bother to look at a device for repair. That would be hard. Recommend you save yourself the headache and find a different store for service.
