I want to Apple today. I had called them three times they told me to go to the store so I went to the store in Durham. It took me 50 minutes to get there. At the store, I was told that I would need to speak to Apple on the phone instead of them helping me in the store. I told them that my phone had been hacked. It wiped everything for my phone and the phone number for forgotten passwords has been changed to whoever hacked me.. I still have not got this resolved. I stayed on the phone and called Apple. I know three more times tonight and I’m still not able to get into my iCloud because someone else is put their phone number someone it send a text that you forgot your password. It says the text to that person. I don’t understand how this could happen and how Apple cannot fix it. I’m really frustrated and I will never buy another apple. I’ve only had this apple for six months. The battery doesn’t stay fully charged. I have to put it in low mode in order to have a full battery by the time I get home from work I’m really upset. Also cause I was told that I would have to set up a new account with Apple since someone else is using my phone number and now I’m gonna lose all my pictures of my deceased son so I’m really really upset and I’m very hurt by the way I was treated on the phone by these people at Apple and at the Apple Store, it was just no care and they never solve the problem and Apple owes me for my damn phone being hacked because they got into my Apple wallet and made purchases, they got into my work calendar. I can’t even sign back into that so from now on I guess I’ll be using paper for scheduling appointments so be careful with your apple. And I’ve done several backups the last one was done Friday. And today is Monday.

I visited the Apple Store today around 4:15 PM after leaving a movie, when my phone screen would not turn back on. I was unable to access navigation, communication, or my accounts, which made the situation very stressful.
I approached an employee for help, clearly explaining that I was stranded without access to my phone. I was told that I needed to make an appointment and was not offered even basic troubleshooting assistance. I specifically asked if there was a quick way to restart my phone, but no guidance was provided.
I also asked if there was a phone I could use to contact someone. Initially, I was directed toward display devices that were not functional, before eventually being offered a loaner phone to call my boyfriend. Throughout the interaction, the communication felt flat and impersonal, with little effort to acknowledge or respond to the urgency of the situation.
What made this especially frustrating is that my issue was resolved immediately afterward with a simple forced restart—something that could have been suggested in seconds and would have prevented a great deal of stress.
Additionally, I asked whether I needed to check in for my appointment and was told it had been delayed. However, I was not checked in or given further direction, despite having already been waiting for over 30 minutes. This led to additional confusion and unnecessary delay.
I do want to recognize that another employee, Marcus, was extremely kind and helpful. He noticed I had been waiting, came over and quickly assisted me and resolved the issue. Interestingly enough, he also pointed out that I had never been checked in, despite having spoken with the front clerk twice and waiting for nearly an hour. His professionalism made a significant difference in my experience.
I understand that there are policies in place, but in situations like this, a small amount of basic guidance and initiative can go a long way. The contrast between the two interactions was significant. Clear communication, empathy, and a willingness to offer simple assistance would have completely changed this experience.
As it stands, the initial interaction fell well below the level of customer care I would expect from an Apple Store.

Please be warned not to listen to the advice of the Apple reps. On Saturday evening I was assured of two things that turned out to be incorrect: 1) and most important: that since the problem was only a crack in the screen, the laptop's data would be preserved (I received it back today, and discovered that the data has been wiped. This is a huge inconvenience as there are so many specialized fonts and so on that I'll need to install; and given the assurance I received, I didn't carefully check all my data before handing over my computer to Apple); and 2) (a far more trivial matter, but it was irritating nonetheless to be misinformed) that the delivery company returning my repaired laptop would deliver it whether or not I was home. I am not at impressed.

I came for a battery replacement of my iPhone which I have done in the past at a different apple store location. Since I previously had a smooth experience at another apple store (1.5 hours, notified of completion with a handheld buzzer, and not much more wait), I was expecting something similar. Here, it took longer than 2.5 hours. I was promised a certain time explaining that I had a time crunch (I had not expected the 2.5 hours), but it was not ready. So, I had to leave and come back. When I returned later that day, it was "ready" but I had to wait longer than expected again to the point where I thought I would have to leave again and come back a third time! Thankfully, the representative took more initiative and went back to retrieve my phone (which sounds like was just lying somewhere in the back), and I barely made it in time for my next appointment. Overall, the apple agents were kind but the service was extremely slow. I hope to not have to go back to this store for service in the future. Hopefully also, they can change their workflow somehow to avoid these long waits (for example, don't book too many appointments at once for a limited number of technicians - have a set ratio. Also allot the appropriate numbers of agents to be in the front vs. helping people with service issues, etc...).
