I feel like the front desk staff aren’t always the friendliest, but I absolutely love my veterinarians! They’re always so kind, caring, and knowledgeable 😊🐾

VCA did an incredible job with our sweet dog, even though our visit ended up being a sad one. Our red heeler mix had been refusing food and lethargic for a couple of days...we brought him in, and after detecting a heart murmur and a firm belly, Dr. G drained fluids from his belly and found it was blood. Based on this finding, they did some x-rays, and unfortunately found that he had a tumor on his spleen that had ruptured. Dr. G was very kind, and explained all of our options with great care. They let me wait in the examination room with my dog while I got ahold of my husband (even though I'm sure that put a strain on their schedule and space). After advising us not to wait long, he worked hard to clear a time the next day (even though they had a packed schedule) to schedule an appointment to put our boy to sleep, but also let us know that he might be a good candidate for surgery if we felt led to explore that option. He was honest and upfront about what that meant, and what it would cost. We did end up going to the clinic he recommended, and unfortunately our dog was not a good candidate for surgery as the tumors had spready to his liver as well. VCA sent us a sympathy card when we called to let them know that we had to put our dog to sleep at the other clinic. They showed more care to us than our actual vet clinic, who would not return my calls and charged me money to release our dog's medical records. Even though our only visit so far was a sad one, we will not be bringing our future pets anywhere else but VCA. They really, truly care and did the best job they possibly could have in a difficult situation.
