We all know stores like this are going out, you'd think the employees would be more helpful and friendly. I was looking at appliances and not one employee came to ask if I needed help. They just stared at me. So I left. Went and bought it elsewhere. $3600 cook top. We wonder why places are going out of business? This is why.

Visited the Brentwood, MO Best Buy today to purchase a laptop. The store is currently under construction, and a large portion of the laptop floor models were roped off. I asked a store associate if I could look at the laptops in that area, and he told me to go ahead. A moment later, another associate approached me and said I was not allowed to be there. I explained that I had already asked for permission, there was no active construction work happening, and there were no apparent safety risks or dangers in the area. He still insisted I leave. What stood out most was that there was no attempt to help me find a laptop, answer questions, or offer alternatives — just an abrupt and dismissive interaction focused on getting me out of the area. I told him I’d gladly purchase a laptop somewhere else where customers are either allowed to view inventory or are actually helped. His response was, “Yeah, go ahead and do that.” He then followed me out of the store and watched me get into my car and leave. Completely unprofessional experience. The staff acted like helping customers was an inconvenience. Don’t waste your time.

Just go to Amazon. I had a 3 year warranty. Took in a laptop for 3 keys not working. They sent it in and kept it and would not give my laptops back. Gave me credit and took away 2 years of my 3 year warranty. I ended up paying and extra $550 on top of my warranty to get a laptop of about the same specs. I just wanted my laptop back. Shame on them.

Absolutely disgraceful store. I tried calling and got an unhelpful AI that, after 45 minutes, finally connected me to a person. That person wasn’t at the physical store and wanted my information. After I said I didn’t want to provide it, I was told Best Buy could no longer help me. I asked to be transferred to someone at the store—the reason I called in the first place—and was told the call volume was too high for a transfer. Then was hung up on.

Went in yesterday to look at phones. Was so slow three or four different team members came up to see if i needed help. Got some useful info. Went back this evening cause i had made a decision. There were two different team members at desks talking to people. I recognized one of the team members from the day before and got in his line because he was only talking to one person, and the other team member had three people waiting. Eventually a third team walked up to me (a supervisor maybe?) and in a rather flat tone asked me if i needed anything. I explained i was there to get a phone. In the same flat tone he explained there were three people ahead of me and that there was only one person working the floor -- was really confused why there were two team members working the floor and why there were two lines -- i explained that i didn't need to activate the phone i just needed the device (for some reason i thought i could simply take the device to the checkout at the front of the store, but i guess not). In the same flat tone he repeated that there were three people ahead of me, one person working the floor, and it would be a 15minute wait. It's amazing the supervisors/management waste company resources and business by scheduling so many team members during slow hours where the company is paying people to stand around and not enough team members during peak hours when its easier for people to simply shop online or go down the street to a different electronics department.
