I brought in my Specialized Status because the rear wheel had a slow leak (likely needing new tubeless tape) and the rear brake barely worked and needed to be serviced. First issue—no communication. I never got a call that my bike was ready and had to reach out myself, only to be told it had been sitting there waiting for pickup. When I arrived, the front tire was completely flat—which wasn’t an issue when I dropped it off. The employee aired it up on the spot, but once I got home I could actually hear air leaking from a spoke on the front wheel. That tells me the tubeless tape on the front was damaged during service, creating a brand-new problem that didn’t exist before. As for the original issues: the rear brake is somehow worse than before. It’s practically non-existent now and doesn’t stop the bike at all. I was told it would be bled and serviced, and I was charged as if that work had been done—but the result says otherwise. So essentially, I paid nearly $500 for a cleaned bike, a fixed rear wheel, a newly damaged front wheel, and a brake that’s now unusable. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I expected professional service at this price point, and instead I left with more problems than I came in with.
