  The staff are mostly friendly but you can tell they are a chain and money talks. We had a particularly bad experience with our golden retriever puppy who had a UTI resistant to antibiotics. One of the veterinarians tried to tell us she probably had an ectopic ureter, she would need all of this expensive testing and surgery, and the success rate was not great and we may need to consider euthanasia. For our 9 week old puppy! I did my research, took her to another vet, got the antibiotics I asked for, and she is now 2 years old and has not had a UTI since. Everything is worst case scenarios and most expensive testing and treatment and you can’t even talk to or leave a message for a vet without a $100 office visit.

  Went for my free 1st time exam. The staff was kind and welcoming. The wait was just right and the veterinarian heard all my concerns. Expressed herself in a🥰 manner I could hear her and I respect and trust this place. I will continue to keep them as my vet. Thank you v kindly for ALL you did that day

  My puppy has gotten care at VCA cascade since we got him at 4 months and I couldn't be happier with the care he's received. Everyone (veterinarians, vet techs, front desk folks, etc) is amazing! My pup has no fear of the vet because they're so positive and minimize stress. His neuter was seamless (he never paid attention to the surgical site). For the couple of times we had to go in for acute illness, urgent appointments were readily available and the veterinarians were thorough and thoughtful. Both Dr. Wallace and Dr. Meisch are amazing!

  They do not explain costs, I had a free exam with them but apparently that doesn’t cover any of the tests, not exactly sure what the free exam even was, because my bill was 300 something for worm tests and deworming meds, and none of these costs were explained. When I asked for a breakdown of the bill through message they didn’t respond…
