  Beware. This location photographs customers and their cars if you simply ask whether they have Pokémon in stock. This isn’t about Pokémon cards. It’s about honesty. This location has been dropping Pokémon product on Tuesday evenings. When someone came in to ask about it, the employee at the front denied it ever happened, claiming they only do morning drops, never evenings. But in the same breath, she picked up her radio and called someone about it. If evening drops don’t exist, why are you radioing someone the second a customer asks? And then it gets worse. Management was photographing customers from their security camera and their vehicles; people who did nothing more than walk in and ask a question. No purchase attempt, no wrongdoing, just a simple question at a retail store and they were treated like a threat. Photographing individuals without a clear legitimate purpose raises serious privacy concerns. This goes far beyond poor customer service. It reflects a culture of intimidation and deception that has no place in retail. Best Buy corporate needs to know this is happening at this location. Customers deserve honesty and respect, not surveillance.

  Don't lie to customers and say you never had a pokemon drop in the evening ever when the past 2 weeks all you have done was scan in the products and sell it right away. Trying to offload products and paging the front desk that customers are looking for products to be cautious confirms that there is backdooring happening and only certain privilege people are guaranteed products. Shady place that allows their employees to lie to customers with no remorse of consequences. Be aware the management team will take pictures of anyone who comes in and ask for pokemon and of their cars. They will pull you up on their security cameras. I saw them pull up their cameras at the front doors and them running around like something bad happened.

  I needed a phone to work in another country and wasn’t trying to spend too much only for that purpose. The lady working there said ONLY Samsung will work and pointed to a phone that was going to cost me over $200. I pointed at the more affordable ones and she blatantly told me they won’t work. I went on the Best Buy website and confirmed that other phones should also work in other countries. When I brought this fact up the other guy working that area said other brands should still work just maybe not as well as Samsung. Okay, but why lie to me and say only Samsung will work? Completely dishonest people that don’t know what they’re talking about.

  It took me 35 min to find this review page. I would give a 1 star review if it wasn't for Tyler at the Maplewood location. Tyler has what it takes to make waves at best buy. I had not been around technology for 7 years prior to entering best buy. By the time I left there Tyler had me feeling like I never missed a beat. He explained everything very clear and precise. He is obviously very smart with Laptops. Regardless of his formal education level, I sure hope someone who has some pull in Maplewood location takes this kid under their wing. He ended up selling me the more expensive laptop so he got the upsell. I had my mind set on a different laptop, I walked out of there spending $300 more dollars then expected. Many years ago best buy was a tiny store called sound of music. The way that company took off was unreal. The fast growth we may rarely see again was due to people like Tyler. My uncle sold cameras at sound of music and ended up VP. It's the character, the gumption, integrity, knowledge, respectfullness and clear communication that made me leave happy and honest impressed enough to the point of I have about a hour 15 min invested in this on a Saturday night. I would go on and on about Tyler. This is for the big shots, people will pull, take that kid under your wing. His potential is limitless

  Extremely disappointing experience. I ordered a TV from Best Buy with same-day delivery, but later received a notification that the delivery had been delayed. The next day, I was notified that the order had been returned and refunded without my request or approval. I did not want a refund. I wanted the TV I purchased. When I contacted customer service, I first had to work through an AI system before finally being connected to a person. After waiting on hold, I was simply told there was nothing they could do. No meaningful explanation, no resolution, and no effort to honor the original order. This was frustrating, inconvenient, and poor customer service. I will not be purchasing from Best Buy again.
