  Worst VCA I’ve ever been to and I’ve been using VCA for years. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY KIND OF PET HEALTH CERTIFICATE, they have no idea what they’re doing. I made an appointment in June to establish care for a health certificate I would need in August to travel back home. At said appointment in June the vet was largely uninformed with the requirements needed, tried to tell me I was wrong about said requirements, mind you I’ve done this process dozens of times, she left the room and came back only to affirm I was correct. Not a huge deal, since I’m familiar. Come time for the actual appointment to get the health certificate the office calls me while I’m at work 7/28 and emails me, I work in a hospital so can’t answer, I email them back 7/29, no response. Finally I reach out again 8/7 to ensure everything is ready for appointment on 8/17 since I’ve yet to hear back, 8/8 they tell me in writing we’re good for the appointment. Friday 8/14 at 1600 I am told I have to use a travel agency prior to my 8/17 0800, which mind you was NEVER mentioned back in June at my appointment, nor the voicemail nor email from July, nor hospital app messages. I call the agency, no humans answer, says fill out a form on the website- which states they won’t reply for 48hrs. So VCA calls at 1835 8/14 asking me to move my 0820 appointment 8/17 to 1100, my flights at 1pm, I say no and they okay then we’re cancelling your appointment.   I have been here three times, and after the third time I threw in the towel because I had multiple experiences with miscommunication and some pretty severe mix-ups. The first time I came in was to get my cat caught up on a booster that the shelter I'd adopted her from said she still needed. The shelter said they would cover the cost, and I confirmed this when I booked the appointment. At the appointment, they gave my cat the wrong shot - they let me know right away and gave her the correct one, then gave me the bill, which I said I'd confirmed would be paid by the shelter. This took a while to get sorted out, but it was eventually sorted. I took my cat back a while later for a minor overgrooming issue. She was given several expensive tests that required blood drawn - they couldn't get the blood they needed the first day so I had to bring her back the next day and sat in my car in sweltering heat until my car battery died. They finally brought her out, had stabbed all four of her limbs to get a blood sample. This resulted in a $500+ bill (AFTER I caught that they had tried to double charge me for the same test twice), and zero leads on what was causing the overgrooming issue. I try to be reasonable and I know there's a lot going on, and i can forgive a lot. But when I looked back at mistake after mistake, on top of the over-average price tag with zero resolution, I decided to find a different vet and I haven't been back since.

  By far the worst vet I have done business with. They try to overcharge you, scare you into spending more and guilt you into buying their own supplies. I had them do a nail removal from a cracked nail, had them try to charge me over 600 with some charges that should have been covered in my Monthly plan (which is a complete joke). I had to literally have verbal arguments with them to get the bill Under 500. My new vet charge me 200 for the same procedure on my first visit. Extremely unprofessional and lack knowledge. They would constantly call me about dogs that aren’t mine for a follow up. They have told me to come in for several shots then I took time off work to get there and my vet said he wasn’t due for any. Please save your time and money and don’t make the mistakes I did by going to vca Bloomington.

  I cannot express how much I love and trust VCA, they have been treating my animals for two decades. I drive from Elk River because of how much I love this place and trust them
