We had such a great experience at Best Buy today thanks to Khalil and another team member! He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping us. We spent about 20 minutes figuring everything out, and he never rushed us once. He made sure we understood our options and worked hard to make sure we were able to get our MacBook the same day. Another employee also helped us locate the best laptop to fit my specific needs. I didn’t get his name but he was a white gentleman. Together they made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Customer service like this is rare these days. Huge thank you to Khalil and the team for going above and beyond! 🌟

I shopped at Best Buy for the last time last night. My husband won a new tv from a work raffle and so I wanted to look for a soundbar to pair with it. We went to Costco first and the options were extremely limited so we decided to see what Best Buy had to offer. IMMEDIATELY upon getting to the soundbar section, we were greeted by a salesperson and asked what we were looking for. We said we were potentially interested in a soundbar, but we were just looking to see what was out there right now. He said "Great! Im going to pair you guys with (enter employee name here) to help you test them out." We reply with a no thanks. Again, just browsing. He shows up anyways and immediately starts hitting us with a million questions about what tv its attaching to, how many speakers we want, what room its going in, etc, etc, etc. Im trying to be as nice as possible, and simultaneously get him to go away. It doesnt work. He started by showing me a $1500 soundbar and I said I wasnt interested in spending that much. He then takes us to a $300 soundbar. He presses play on the display. We listen and I say it isn't terrible. He then drags us over to show us one by Sonos. I say I have no interest in Sonos. The sound falls flat to me. He still pushes Sonos by saying it connects to Alexa. I tell him I refuse to support Alexa so it doesnt matter. He asks why I dont like the sound and I said there's just better out there for the price point. He informs me he didnt turn on the subwoofer for the demo and thats why I didnt like it. I tell him (giving up at this point) that I would prefer a subwoofer. My husband goes back to the $300 soundbar and the salesperson says he will be right back and disappears. We think we are in the clear finally. We push the demo button on it and we listen together, trying to make a decision. He comes back with it in box, then turns the demo off while we are actively listening to it and said "sorry, ive been listening to this all day and I just can't anymore". I then turn to look at the sound bar behind it and he says "that soundbar is $600. That's why I didnt show it to you" in an incredibly snarky tone. I never mentioned a budget, just that I didnt want to spend $1500. He made us feel super uncomfortable and rushed. We saw all of 3 soundbars when they most likely had a much larger selection. At this point, we'll never know. The $300 soundbar had better sound quality and was cheaper than the Costco models. We just wanted to get out of there at this point and knew we weren't coming back, so we purchased it and then I looked at reviews in the parking lot to see if I would be returning it or not. It is a decent quality unit, but it was a terrible experience to purchase it. I would love to say this was a one off, but we had a similar thing happen when looking for my camera last month. We ended up going to a specialty store for that purchase and it was the best decision we ever made. These last 2 visits were very similar to the predatory sales tactics you would experience at a car dealership. Best buy has a great selection, and its super convienient at times, so it really is a shame, but they will never get another dollar from me moving forward.

Visited Best Buy on 05/02/26, 6:30pm with my two children to check out Nintendo Switch consoles before buying online. We also browsed games and accessories and spent some time walking around. As we were leaving, we stopped briefly at the Samsung phone display. While we were just looking, a security guard approached and said something I couldn’t clearly hear, but his tone and behavior felt directed at us in a suspicious way, like we were being profiled or assumed to be stealing. It was uncomfortable, especially in front of my kids, who noticed it too. We were simply browsing like any other customers. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures all customers are treated respectfully.

They have a new AI phone system that understood nothing that I said to it. I simply wanted to know if a particular item was at a particular store. You might as well shut down your phone line completely if its going to be that useless from now on. Also I tried hitting zero for a human and that doesn't seem to be an option anymore. At the very least, you need a HITL (human in the loop).
