Took my phone in for my appointment on 8/29/26 for a battery repair. I was told they did not have it and would order it and call me in 3-5 days to complete the repair. A week later I spiked with Best Buy customer service and was told it was on back order for a shortage but they would have a geek squad rep contact me. On 9/18/26, I still hadn’t received a call so I contacted customer service again where I was told the repair order has actually been closed. And again, someone would call me from geek squad. Here we are, 10/11 and there is still no phone call from them or update.

Beware of the bad reviews you see on here as I have been a long term customer with Best Buy/Geek Squad and have only ever had great experiences with them.
"They said I'd get my phone in a week" yes, that is normally the time frame for a phone replacement...but they are on Apple's time. If a delay happens from Apple's side then Geek Squad can't control that.
"They said my repair would take 20 minutes" no, your appointment is 20 minutes. Not the whole repair.
"They didn't call me to tell me my phone repair was complete" I'm certain the phone number you have on your profile with them is the exact phone that was being repaired as I have always been contacted with my alternative contact number provided.
Geek Squad has never been out to scam me as some customers seem to think that is always their goal. I am always contacted promptly with any issues and even when they cannot fix something, they offer alternatives to give you a direction on where you need to go to get your issue resolved. All of the counter people are incredibly kind and the repair tech, Riley, is incredibly professional and informative. He has even taken time out of his repairs in back to work with me up front whenever it is needed.
So again, beware of the negative reviews. Unfortunately, the most vocal people are going to be the upset ones and after seeing what good work Geek Squad does while also seeing the customers they deal with, I can tell you with certainty that if you just listen and understand what they are trying to tell you instead of immediately trying to blame all your problems on them, you will always get the best help and an amazing experience from the Geek Squad team.

The worst, I got my phone replaced because they couldn’t fix it they told me it would take a day and it took a week and they’re impossible to get ahold of, I called them multiple times every day and got hung up on the two times I did get ahold of them. They were supposed to call me when my phone came in and never did I had to go into the store a week later to find out my phone was already there for 3 days never again.

Do not take your Iphone 17 pro here to get the screen replace. They said the service would take 20 min. After 5 hours with no updates, I back to the store. The geek squad employee brought my phone out and said they couldn't fix and and here is your refund. I asked how lonago the new these. There was no response. I asked what the next step was, crickets. Grab the phone and left. Called Mr. FROG in Bay City. He said he could replace it in 5 min. Took it there had replace in less than 5 min for half the cost. Only 175 compared to 350. Never again will you fool me geek squad.

Unprofessional service and property damage. Do not recommend.
I brought my iPhone 14 to Geek Squad on April 26 for a battery replacement. Since the phone was a gift and was being shipped to another country right away, I couldn't thoroughly test all its functions on the pickup day - the device was turned off and packed.
The issues came to light as soon as the recipient (my mother) turned the phone on.
Both the camera and the flashlight were completely non-functional. She had to take it to a service center in her country, where they ran a diagnostic check. The technicians concluded that during the previous repair at Geek Squad, the ribbon cable and the display matrix had been damaged. Due to their negligence, I had to pay for an expensive repair of the screen and adjacent components.
Geek Squad completely ignored the situation and refused to provide any compensation for the damage caused. If you don't want to end up with a broken phone instead of a repaired one, look for another service provider.
