I went to the Apple Store in Grand Rapids, Michigan this week. I had an appointment fortunately. The people who did not have appointments had to wait for 1-2 hours. It felt like bedlam. A man on Apple Support made the appointment for me to get a new watch band for my Apple Watch because they didn’t have what I wanted on line. They didn’t have it in the store either. I’ve read many articles lately that say that the Apple Watch band that came with the watch has a large amount of carcinogens in it. The man on line said they would exchange my band for a band that did not have carcinogens. The so called “specialists” at the Apple Store had no clue about the carcinogens. I asked the manager to call Apple and she said she didn’t have the number. That certainly is weird. So it meant second trip to the Apple Store which is in a mall. I could hear other customers around me getting frustrated. After trying to come up with a solution to avoid a second trip to the mall. The GENUIS store manager didn’t try hard to come up with a solution so I just left and will not go back. It has gone downhill from the store it used to be! It’s now a fiasco!

Patrick was the person who helped me with my Mac and he was awesome. He spent an hour with me and was very patient as I had some challenges with the information he needed. No charge??? Amazing customer service. Everyone else I interacted with there was nice also. I would have nothing but a mac

wasn’t super helpful. escalated the issue with the manager but it was not resolved. I was brushed off and asked to talk to the Apple support or phone call. Apple support asked me to go back to the store again. It was a little back-and-forth with no resolution. First time terrible experience with the Apple customer service related to allegedly a manufacturing defect by Apple. Instead of helping, manager assumed that the information was from the TikTok or from AI. Very interesting judgmental behavior.

Made an appointment to replace my phone battery. Took them 25 minutes to even see me. Got into my phone and prepared to do the battery change. Then they told us they don’t even have my battery in stock. Then we asked when they might have it they said they’d have to order it and it would be there in 3 to 5 days. And they can’t even guarantee That that battery would even be available for me when I came back. What is the point of creating an appointment for a battery replacement if they don’t even have it in stock and have no way to assure you that they would have it in stock next time. They even told us that we wouldn’t be able to call to find out before we drove there if they had it in stock. Mind you, we live two hours away from the store. Very unhappy.

I’ve been an Apple customer since 2010. This review is strictly about the service I received at this location. I have an old iPhone. I brought it to this location to have the charging port cleaned about ten months ago. At the time I was told my iPhone model was obsolete and was available for an upgrade through the apple care + program. It’s now ten months later and the back of my phone is cracked and battery slowing down, etc. I’m ready for a new phone! I go back to the Apple Store. I ask about the upgrade/replacement. I am told they know nothing of this and an Apple tech/manager has Apple tech/support call my phone while I’m in the Apple Store. Both sales guys who are helping me eventually walk away as I’m on the phone with first Apple tech, then sales (who were shockingly rude over the phone), then back to tech support. After 40 minutes of this the store manager Joe came over to check on me and asked if I had been helped. He stood with me while I was on the phone with a senior Apple tech rep for another ten minutes. Joe actually explained pretty clearly and concisely what was going on after 45 minutes in the Apple Store. Then he walked away while I was still on the phone with support. I just need a new phone. I’ve never had such terrible customer service in my life.
