  VCA has been caring for my pups for several years. They helped us manage the health needs of my three senior dogs and guided us through making sure we understood quality of life decisions with compassion. Now we have a youngster and they are helping us understand his needs as he grows. They are always compassionate and kind, it’s easy to get an appointment and the staff truly cares. While some turnover is normal, I have seen many of the same faces living in my pups over the years. They are a little more expensive than some vets, b it between the kindness, high quality care and ease of getting what we need, id never go anywhere else to save a few bucks.

  I always take my fur baby here they’re very attentive , listen to what I have to say, and have patience most of all and help and explain step by step there super amazing staff and alln

  ​I am writing this with a truly heavy heart. My dog suffered a medical emergency, and we turned to this clinic hoping for compassion and help during one of the most frightening moments for our family. When we tried to use the free first-visit coupon, we were turned away because of the emergency nature of the visit, leaving us unable to pay the full costs upfront right then and there. ​Both my father and I work hard, but unexpected emergencies happen, and money can be tight. It was agonizing to feel judged or looked down upon when all we wanted was to get our family member the urgent care he needed. Having to walk out knowing our dog is in pain and having to wait until payday on Friday for care is causing our entire family unbearable grief and stress. ​We know our dog is our responsibility, but when a family is in crisis, you hope for empathy and flexibility from animal caregivers. This experience left us feeling helpless, heartbroken, and deeply let down.

  “IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET DON’T BRING THEM HERE” Staff is unwelcoming & unprofessional. After reading other negative reviews it seems like the problem staff only get warnings. I understand the gripe with upselling from staff. But at the end of the day a GOOD BUSINESS runs well because the GUESTS FEEL CARED FOR. Told to show up early then staff is rude about me being on time while they showed up late. Jenna is amazing tho😊

  It takes a lot for me to write a review. I only do so when the care I've received has left a lasting impression—whether that impression is positive or negative. I have visited a few different VCA's in the last 8 years owning my cat. Unfortunately my sweet cat fell extremely ill and my normal VCA had no open appointments. I called other locations closer to home with no luck. When I called Allen Park VCA, I was very emotional and scared that I would hear the same response. Not only did the team at Allen Park VCA squeeze me in the next day, which also happened to be my birthday (how awful right?) they responded to my worries as a scared pet owner so respectfully and professionally. My cat required chest X-rays and a thoracentesis. The vet personally took me back to show me the images and explain what she saw. The awesome team took their time to walk me through my pet's procedure and made me feel safe leaving my baby in their care. I received a phone call from the Vet that no pet owner ever wants to get. I knew going into the appointment that my cat was very sick and explained to the team how traumatic leaving the house, being in a strange place, and getting poked while already hurting was to my cat. Not to mention the nasty financial toll I would take on. The Vet explained that when monitoring my cat before his procedure, she was very concerned that this would likely be a never ending cycle of scans and procedures that will end up doing more harm than good. She took the time to properly assess my cat before blindly starting a procedure. I deeply appreciated the empathy and respect the Vet had during this phone call. Together we decided on a new plan. She made my babies quality of life a top priority. Instead of forcing me to into a decision, I had options and most importantly I had a professional team I trusted to lean on. Thank you for involving me in my sweet boy Lanni's care and making me feel confident in our decisions. Care like this deserves to be acknowledged and appreciated.
