We recently had to put our beloved cat, Sophie down. The staff at VCA St Mary’s was so kind and compassionate. I want to thank Dr. Fitzsimmons for taking the time to explain the possible issues with Sophie in a way that was easily understood, thanks to Dr Forrest for explaining the test results, even though they were not what we wanted to hear, he still did it with compassion. And finally, thank you Dena, Whitney and Dr Meadows for being there for us to let Sophie be at peace, your compassion and kindness made this hard decision a little easier to do. They have a special room set up just for these types of visits. I was impressed and a little more at ease in there. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making Sophie’s transition relaxed and peaceful. You guys are the best.
We believe that VCA animal hospitals are taking advantage of people's emotions and love of their pets. The costs for veterinary care at VCA is astronomical. The appointment for my golden retriever was $137.00. Then to look in his ears, (he had an ear infection), was another $137.00. The medicine was $70.00. In order to treat something as simple as an ear infection, it cost almost $350.00. We were advised to bring him back in three weeks to have his ear looked at to determine if the medicine had worked. The charge for this follow up appointment was another $274.00. We will not be returning to any VCA animal hospital with our pet.

Dr. Bott and the vet vet tech Taylor were both so lovely and caring going above and beyond. The ladies at the front desk also were excellent.
Friendly and professional. They respected my time and ran pretty much true to schedule. Came in for my first visit and they seemed to treat pet nicely
