  I was referred to VCA via Dr. Katie Thomas. We had a wonderful experiences with Dr. Thomas but my last experience with the office and Dr. Kligge were not very favorable. If I am unable to get Dr. Thomas in the future, I will no longer visit this vet office. - On Thursday, I called regarding my dogs sneezing and runny nose. First, they scheduled me for Monday then called back saying they had an opening the next day with other Doctor. - On Friday, I pulled up to the office approx. 10 minutes prior to my scheduled time. To be safe, I do not look at my phone while driving so when I parked, I had a few minutes so I checked my phone. They just sent a text instructing me to park on the side and call them when I arrive - they will escort me in. I was confused because this was the first I heard of going to the side door - maybe I should have more concerned? They brought us in and everyone was looking at us with masks on and some had on gowns and gloves. Still no explanation. Once in the room, I asked, again, about the precautions, and I was told that they have to be careful in case she has kennel cough. Note, this was not mentioned on the phone or in the text. Also, I have previously experienced a dog with kennel cough and this was very different. The Doctor enters the room, did not make eye contact, and didn't speak until he got to the computer. I am still confused. He asked "is she having coughing?" I stated that I never mentioned coughing that she had sneezing and runny nose. He did the exam and stated that it may be allergies. Still confused. - Upon leaving, I was asked to carry my 17lb dog out of the office so they didn't have to mop the floors. They weren't' aware but I fractured my arm several months ago, but I was so frustrated that I just obliged and left. Again, If I am unable to get Katie Thomas, I will not visit this office.

  Staff are always kind, patient, and professional. They take great care of my pup and offer a care club that helps with cost of visits, vaccines and routine bloodwork.

  I took my chocolate lab here (Frankie) to be evaluated because she was sneezing uncontrollably and was bleeding occasionally. The doctor said it was bad allergies and gave my dog a shot. She was completely misdiagnosed. She didn’t need the shot Frankie had aspergillosis- a fungus in her nose and had to have surgery to remove the fungus. Thank goodness I took her to the ER the next day. I’m very disappointed in this veterinary hospital because the ratings were so good. I question the credentials of the doctor that evaluated my dog. That was really a poor diagnosis.
