- LSL SJun 19, 20261.0Dr. Nancy Kelso evaluated our puppy during a wellness exam and stated that he had a hip issue. We left the appointment believing our puppy had a significant life altering problem. The PennHIP results reported a distraction index of 0.42 (the German Shepherd breed average is 0.41), with **no radiographic evidence of osteoarthritis**. The board-certified radiologist's report described **normal femoral head coverage** and also noted normal findings for the spine, forelimbs, and hind limbs. I believe families are better served when veterinarians acknowledge the limits of a general wellness examination and recommend referral to a specialist before leaving owners with the impression that their young dog has a serious, life-altering problem. Our experience resulted in significant worry, additional expense, and unnecessary emotional stress before objective orthopedic testing provided a much more reassuring assessment. I hope this practice places greater emphasis on referrals for concerns that they do not specialize in so families don't experience what we did.

My cat is a senior kitty and has/had many medical issues and no matter what doctor I see I feel assured they have his best interest. They have worked with me when I am on a budget and has never pushed anything I could not afford. Me and meiko thank them for taking care of us!

Dr. Stefan gave the best care to him and really gave us the confidence and assurance we were doing the best for him. We love the facility so much, when it came time to have our other new cat, Thurston, we looked no further and continued our care with them as well. It's a bit of a drive for us, but worth it everytime.
