  First experience with the Genius Bar for a battery replacement. Made an apt for 325pm- wasn’t seen by service technician until 344pm. I was told battery replacement would take roughly 2 hours. Unsure if they wee taking walk-ins before scheduled appts but it was chaotic inside. Employees were unsympathetic and condescending. Will not be returning to this location.

  I had the unfortunate experience of dropping my I phone in hot tub. It was working but screen was flashing and barely visible. I brought my new I phone to this store and had 2 wonderful people help me with the impossible. Couldn’t remember my password for I cloud to transfer data. Lots of trial and error. After 2trips to the store, and given a final and only Hail Mary Pass, I was sent home with written instructions, step by step that might restore password with my at home WiFi. It worked! I will tell everyone the level of professionalism and great care I received. Count me in as a raving fan, Apple Store Hingham

  Went in last night about half an hour before store was closing with my new iPad, not knowing how to set it up. Somehow, I put it in blind person mode, which didn’t help my cause there was no way I was getting out of that one without their help. The guy that helped me was really nice. Help me set it up in a flash. Also explain to me what buttons I was clicking as I was Going. Everyone in there seems really nice. Also, I didn’t have to pay anything. You always expect to pay for anything and everything these days and it was nice just to get help at a store without paying for the help.

  Helped me know what my options were when I had a water damaged laptop! However, the data retrieval company they tried to refer me to was insanely expensive (~1k for their “economical package”) and was going to take a couple of weeks to ship my laptop and hopefully get it back. I googled a local tech shop nearby, Computer VIP, in Weymouth that is 12 minutes from the derby street store that was able to take my laptop that day and get my data off of it within 24 hours for a WAY better price!! The Apple Store was great, but look local for tech issues that Apple refers you out for because I could not recommend “Computer VIP” enough!
