  I am a loyal customer to Apple, and have been entirely pleased with my experiences in their stores until today. I went in with my family looking for their newest watch for my father and a replacement band for my old watch. Before making this expensive purchase, my mother and I tried to use the restrooms, which we have done before at this location. Unfortunately we were told that they were not open to paying customers, despite being in a publicly accessible location, so we were denied access to any of the four bathrooms in the store. The bathrooms were each labeled restroom, without any signage indicating they were not for public use. This is incredibly disappointing as a store that in my experience has valued taking their time with customers and customer comfortability in the past. The way which my mother and I were spoken to did not uphold these values in the slightest. We decided not to make our purchase and if we do decide to purchase from an Apple store again in the future, it will not be from this one.

  Stella at the Back Bay store is one of the coolest people I have ever interacted with. I am not going to get specific on the details, but sometimes when you need customer service, it's more than just a consumer interaction. Sometimes you have hit multiple walls in multiple areas of life and you just need one thing to go right. And then someone in customer service shows you real compassion and takes an obstacle away with kindness and joy. That's Stella (and whomever assisted her in making our day a littler brighter.) Thank you.

  Absolutely the worst customer service. I came in to buy an iPad and an iPhone as gifts (over $2k in purchases) and was completely ignored. I stood at the tables for 10 minutes before an employee told me to wait for the 'iPad guy.' After 10 more minutes of being ignored, another employee pointed out the specific guy I needed. When I approached him, he was incredibly rude, snapping, 'Can’t you see I’m with another customer? You better wait.' He was entirely unhelpful and told me to try my luck upstairs. Upstairs, they just told me to go back downstairs and wait again. In total, I wasted 40 minutes just trying to find someone willing to grab the devices and take my money. It felt like I was begging for a handout. If I didn't urgently need these for gifts, I would have left immediately. Terrible experience.

  I went to pick up two phones with my daughter. From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed uninterested and their attitude wasn’t particularly friendly. They would say, “We’ll be right with you,” and then disappear. Out of around 30 employees, not one greeted us with a smile or made us feel genuinely welcome. Then Doobi came along. He helped me with a smile and was incredibly kind. The contrast was so noticeable that I actually had to mention it to her. It really struck me that he was the only person who was genuinely friendly, especially considering how easy it is to simply be warm and courteous with customers. The store itself is large, beautiful, and has a great selection of products. The manager listened to my feedback very kindly and took it seriously, with the intention of improving the experience for future customers. We go into an Apple Store excited to buy a new iPhone — we should leave feeling that way too. I still recommend this store!!
